Mike Fratello didn't watch a single Rockets game last season. (and is relying on a stat sheet the gave him before the conversation to even know that tmac passes.) I can tell cause he acted like Ron is our defensive savior. Like we didn't have anyone to be a defensive stopper. Give me a break. We did just fine defensively without him. Shane did perfectly well shutting down the other teams best players. We need Ron's offense to pull people away from Tmac and Yao, or fill the "go to guy" roll when those two aren't on the court. At least Fratello did say that at the end, that Ron could try to take his man at the end of games.
saw it on NBA TV last night ummmm.... newsflash, I guess they though we signed Mutumbo already, great work NBA TV btw, Eric Snow is pretty bad at the moment, hopefully he'll get better or he'll be up there with Swim Cash
I just don't get one thing. It looks like we were a decent defensive team, we didn't have any good defender one on one and suddenly Ron Artest bring the defense to this ballclub Fratello needs to think what he says
So now I am watching this show again on my dvr and getting even more irritated. They have no idea about our team what so ever. Shouldn't they be educated on the team before they talk about them? Fratello knows about Shane and completely ignored his contribution to the team defense in the first part of the segment. Mr. Ming... seriously... don't call him Mr. Ming. For crying out loud learn a little about culture and the people you are talking about! And if it's a Rockets preview why the heck is he talking about Golden State. The resigning of Mutombo... that hasn't happened Fratello. At least he didn't say that we were going to be third or fourth in the division. If we aren't ahead of Dallas and San Antonio at the end of the season I'll eat my shoe. Okay... venting over.
No, I was just irritated at the horrible coverage on a show that is supposed to be representing the NBA's perspective on our team. Do you know how many people are going to see that? About the only thing that was correct in the preview is that we won 22 games in a row last year. Eric Snow said the streak was because we were scoring lots of points. No it wasn't, it was because we weren't letting our opponent score lots of points. I just expected better from them and was looking forward to it only to be very disappointed.
