Here's a mix I made that has many(if not all) of T-mac's 07-08 dunks. Don't ask about the flashing green light that comes up a few times, I have no idea what that is. Hope you guys like it...go ahead and choose your favorite while you're at it <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Pd2gg9iORd4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Pd2gg9iORd4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Even though he can get hot from outside... I'd much rather see this more often than seein him pull up all the time when he gets tired. He really is unstoppable when he just charges the lane....
if you mean by that getting injured than yes. a lot of his dunks were pre-the knee injuries. and you can see by some that when he does jump, his head can get nearly as high as the rim so he clearly hasn't lost that much of his athleticism. it's all about the injuries that plays with his mind during the reg. season. tmac right now at his stage of his career just wants to be healthy enough when the playoffs comes around.
When TMac is healthy he is still as good a perimeter scorer as anybody in the league. He just can not stay healthy the entire season any more.
im surprised you didnt put that dunk when he kicked his leg at the camera man afterwards on there. my fav was the one where he dribble-messes with najera, and then just effortlessly blows past him to dunk. this is nothing as compared with his orlando stuff man, unfortunately. you can see that he barely gets in the air on some of these slams.
I love that fastbreak dunk against the Hornets with Chris Paul nearly tripping up trying to chase Tmac.
Its a pretty tough balancing act in order to get the optimal use out of t-mac. Rockets management has to find a way to limit his playing time as much as possible during the regular season while still making sure they get as high as seed as possible, and making sure that they dont limit his time too much so that the other rotation players can get use to playing with him on the court. I think its possible, but the timing almost has to be perfect. Untimely injuries will kill it all as it has been the case in past. Adelman can be a good orchestrator of making it happen with a little bit of luck on his side. Hopefully the next time we see such a highlight real, it will be the same amazing plays but from a 09 playoffs
I will give it to you that he's lost some of his pop from the orlando days, but to say that you can't compare some of these plays to his orlando days is a bit over-the-top don't you think? If anything, I feel this clips shows he still has most of his athlectic ability still in place when healthy. His durability is definitley up for debate and a separate story.
Nice clip man. Nice to see him dunk. He should do it more often. It's clear that injuries are the reason why he seems to not be "in the air" as we would like to see. But look carefully, on a few of them, he's way up there. He should go back to making those sick reverse dunks, and windmills when he's all alone. He used to be a reverse dunk beast in orlando. He can easily do it too...like that 360 he popped that didn't count. Effortless. Come on T-mac, contract year, show em what you got.
his lift wasnt there this year as compare to others you can tell when he lands it seems awkward on some of those..hopefully he can get his leg strength back and come strong
