I tought you may be interested Btw great point by Spears about Tracy. <object width="576" height="324" allowfullscreen="true"><param name="movie" value="http://d.yimg.com/m/up/ypp/sports/player.swf"><param name="flashVars" value="vid=16621341"><embed width="576" height="324" allowfullscreen="true" src="http://d.yimg.com/m/up/ypp/sports/player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars="vid=16621341"></object>
Thanks for posting, and I think the Spears guy nails it. Honestly a healthy TMac does not make this team that much better, all the issues still exist, lack of rebounding and size.. A healthy Tracy would be incrementally better, but Marcus Camby instead would make the overall TEAM better. DD
Could be true, it's ammusing to see despite his knee that he wan'ts to come back with all that hard work that we used to never see and i doubt it's his desire to just prove he can come back i think this is some built in excuse to play for a contract season instead.
Kenny thinks he can get college guys play hard in the NBA and win some games. I think he wouldn't even last some games if he only had college guys in the NBA. Give coach A some long due credits, Kenny, will you?
thank god they didn't call tracy mcgrady a cancer and a team-chemistry killer b/c i've been hearing that all over. as i have been saying, EVERYBODY respects a healthy tracy mcgrady. we all know the media loves to pile on tracy b/c he makes it so easy. and we all know kenny has criticized tmac before. but if somehow someway (a BIG IF) that he's healthy, he's going to help this team in a HUGE way. there's no doubt about it. but like kenny said, we don't know the 09-10 tmac. if he's like last year, put a fork in his career.
Why does Kenny think we need a talent player to take over games offensively. What we need is rebounding. I guess he hasn't watched any games.
tracy will play. but like that spears guy indicates, if there is more to this, and the drama drags out, it's going to put a damp on this season. i hope the team is holding out b/c they really want to wait until the next full practice (11/23) to evaluate him.
Spears is spot on. I think Tracy doesn't even know his fate and is getting antsy. By him throwing out a date to play is to test the waters to see where the Rockets stand. IMO.. DM over-riding Tracys date to return says that the organization is no longer in favor of him. B/C if they were still in favor of him...he would already be in full practices for a return on the 18th. Like Spears says.. Tracy should know his body better than anyone.
Tired of people assuming the worst about everyone. T-Mac is acting in his own interest and trying to fit that in with the team's interests. I'm sure he's itching to play and prove himself to both the fans and potential teams that might bid for him, nothing wrong with that, and he jumped the gun saying he would be ready. And I'm sure the Rockets want to maintain control of their personnel. It's not more complicated than that.
He has seen the Dallas, Sac town and LA games where the Rockets where outsized completely and still managed to be right there for most of the game. The thing is when you have a great player the team doesn't need to be perfect everynight to win but when you have a team like this where everything has to be clicking it takes a toll on everyone(including fans ) The Rockets are right there but need that one guy that can carry them from time to time and give the guys a break from having to be on top of there games EVERYNIGHT. The interesting part about the Rockets is that they have a bunch of "B" guys on there team and thus can overcome the lack of an interior presence with the brains and desire so it should only take an a defensive presence to improve us big time, something like Camby, Okafer or a younger Ben Wallce problem is there darn contracts. If we can add that guy plus a star either via 2 seprate trades or all in one, it could be a VERY interesting winter/spring in Clutch City.
I think McGrady will come back by the 25th at the latest. I think we're holding him back just to make sure he gets motivated and continues to get into better shape and strengthen his knee.
uh...watch last year again. tracy proclaimed himself ready twice and failed miserably. it's really simple. tracy is going to play soon. and the team does not want him to be in and out of the lineup like last year. we had yao and artest last year so we could tolerate it (with the inconsistent rotation). we can't afford it this year. morey and adelman want to be 200% sure when tracy returns, he's going to stay in the lineup and not be in and out. i'm sure tracy thinks he's ready (i'm sure grover said he's ready). but morey and adelman want him to go through a full practice without any problems before they can say so themselves. that full practice is 11/23.
The bottom line is, this is Rick Adelman's team. I am willing to live with the losses that we have had so far.. Lakers by 1, Kings with lucky ass shots... We might have won the Kings game with Tracy there.. but this is actually the first time that we have seen the offense running as a team.. If Tracy can come back and fit in alright great.. BUT it has to be on Rick Adelman and Daryl Morey's timeline... we don't need a repeat of last year coming back early and going in and out of the lineup... If he comes back, he will have to play within the offense and play unless he is injured again. I can care less what these "experts" have to say about our team. They discount us so easily and whenever a small story comes up they talk like they know about everything that goes on in our team.
if he's healthy, he'll fit right in. he's too skilled/talented. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/g3F_-MQM67o&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/g3F_-MQM67o&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
