I think I've heard more about how we'll coach the team from everybody but Adelman. :) Sikma seems solid. He'll be good for the media if given the chance, no doubt. Thanks, Hilltopper.

"Being able to step away from the basket."

I have to crank up my volume to hear anything, too. I doubt it's an ISP thing.

I really disliked the idea of Sikma tutoring Yao. Sikma never averaged more than 20ppg and basically had 1 major reverse pivot and create space move. He was solid, but I didn't see him offering anything useful to Yao. I felt Yao should be tutoring him. :)

After this clip I realized I was just being ignorant. I really love his philosophy of coaching. He comes from the school of; lets use the best method and system for our players, rather than lets teach and add players that fit into our system.

Seems like the kind of guy who works hard at his job, in the film room. Someone who is excited to be here working with Yao. Hes not just sticking around because of his legacy. Not hired simply for his resume as a player.

Hopefully he can come up with some defensive strategies though. I didn't hear him mention anything about helping with defense. They better not forget how foul prone Yao can be. They better not forget Garnett, Duncan, Brand, and Boozer all stop by on a regular basis. (basis of regularity as I say).

Funny how he said, "I'm not a guy who says, This Is My System, And This Is How We Are Gonna Do It." -- We all know JVG was a BIG system guy

He also said he was excited about working for Rick, because Rick is the same way; they both like to cater to their players talents and put them in spots in the offense where they can be successful. Their style reminds more more of Rudy's.

maybe it's my firewall, but the past couple of vids posted from C2Houston, ive had trouble streaming the whole thing without numerous stops every 10-12 seconds.

That is one of the reasons why although I believe JVG did a lot of good work for the rockets it was ultimately time for him to go....

The current Rockets roster...at the very least as starters are concerned, is a very high-iq team on average. Very creative (in different aspects of the game each one obviously)...A rigid system does not utilise all their potential....And maybe t-mac had the freedom to do as he pleased but the rest of them should've had more freedom I think...

for the first time in yao's career we have a fellow center teaching him who can speak comprehensible english...and they mess up the volume.

after ewing, dikembe, and olajuwon it'll be nice to not have to prick up my ears when hearing smegma talk. i will miss hearing their accents though.

"They" didn't "mess up the volume", thank you...it sounds fine on my speakers. Are you guys with audio problems watching the vids on a laptop or desktop?

Does the commercial before the video sound louder than the Sikma stuff?

The commercials are always louder than all of the videos. The video is a bit low.. but it's no biggie I just had to turn the volume up.

I doubt this Sikma has enough patience to watch/analyze tapes with Yao on a daily basis like Tom.
