The liberals in Hollywood will stop at nothing. It's amazing what they can do with computers these days. CGI technology is at an all-time high. That video almost looks real, I mean, if I didn't know better I would think those were real soldiers in a real prison. I like Shrek 2 better.
I hope this is a joke. And if it is, it's not funny - it's just stupid. If a liberal mentioned the inconsistencies regarding the Berg video (currently being discussed on various conspiracy websites), the conservatives on this board would go berzerk. I hope they are as equally critical of your remarks.
Alright, we get it...There were questionable practices in Abu Ghraib prison... Liberals, STOP WITH THE FREAKIN' AG Prison Threads...
interesting survey at fox news (ok, blast the source, but the questions are pretty straightforward), suggest most of america thinks the news media is spending way too much time on the abu ghraib story. hmm, is that because if it bleads it leads, or something more sinister...don't suppose the media would take sides in an election, do you? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,120492,00.html -- 20. On the situation in Iraq today, where do you think most of the problems are being created? 1. In Iraq 23% 2. In Washington, DC, or 18 3. In the news media 27 4. (Combination) 21 5. (All) 8 6. (None) - 7. (Not sure) 3 27. Which of the following news stories upset you more? 1. The abuse of Iraqi prisoners by U.S. soldiers 8% 2. The beheading of an American civilian by Muslim terrorists 60 3. (Both equal) 29 4. (Not sure) 3 28. Do you think the media spent an excessive amount of time covering either of the following news stories? 1. The Iraqi prisoner abuse story 34% 2. The beheading of American Nick Berg 9 3. (Both were covered excessively) 35 4. (Neither was covered excessively) 15 5. (Not sure) 7
Basso, thank you for that survey, I'm glad to see that only a small minority, presumably die-hard Republicans, shares the Happy Bunny view.
I'm glad these abuses make you uncomfortable. Our soldiers raped, sodomized, tortured and murdered innocent Iraqis in their homeland. That's a very uncomfortable fact for Americans to come to grips with. But we have to, or things will only get worse.
This image is unfortunately powerful and disturbing because of the associations (whether subconscious, unjustified, or no) that it draws: Very sad that it came near the anniversary of Brown too.
Are you kidding, that soldier has all his weight in to holding back the dog and the caption even makes note of it.
Are you kiddng, there are other photos later in the sequence that show the prisoner (or maybe a different one, not sure) bleeding profusely from several wounds that appear to be bite marks. But anyway, you are sanctioning this conduct then?
I've got the paper in front of me right now and I don't see what you're talking about. The prisoner on the front page has been given a prison uniform. The people on the other pages are obviously just being rounded up or at some different stage of the game. Plus, there is the picture of that sick $#% who was in all the other photos that came out where the soldiers are roughed up. He's about to hit one of them as they lay prone with a bag over there head. I mean that's just stupid. It depends on how far they go. There needs to be a clear line drawn. But, I'm not for taking all power to put a little pressure on these guys. Murder, sodomy, rape, glowsticks, dogs being let loose, cheap shots? Those are out of question and the perpetrators should be brought to justice. A punch to the face, a barking dog, a little bit of arm twisting? I think those are permissable.
Different sequence, dogs were sicc'd on prisoners: http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/191953p-165865c.html
From what i here so far the video is authentic. please explain how you came to the conclusion that it is fake.
All I'm saying is that the liberal media needs to just move on and focus on the positive things happening for the U.S., remember, "The Economy Stupid"... Carry on...
