I like how McGrady said he wants to keep the group together and only add to it. He's right. If you start shipping out people left and right, the whole game changes, and you're back to square one. We just need that extra boost, and I think adding a PG (Steve Francis) can do that for us.

Thats it, can we start a petition or something that would get SF3's attention? WE WANT STEVE BACK! Should we make a webpage or something?

I'm pretty sure he knows, but it wouldn't hurt to make a webpage for it. There is also another thread on ClutchFans that discusses it. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=129205

We need to tell Stevie to punch Isaiah Thomas in the face and throw a low blow to Stephon Marbury so they'll buy out his contract. :D

we are LOADED on the backcourt......we need help in the front court..

Mutombo, Hayes, and Howard is just not going to cut it for us.

So....No SF3, unless he's coming cheap, say Bonzi cheap, then I will consider..

Are you serious? We have one point guard. One. Rafer Alston. He isn't even a good point guard. He's just average. John Lucas III and Vassillis Spanoulis don't even count. Sure, we're fine at shooting guard with T-Mac, Kirk Snyder and Luther Head, but our one spot is every bit as bad off as the power forward spot - if not worse. At least both Hayes and Howard deserve playing time in the NBA, even if neither of them are the ideal power forward for us.

I'd love a long, quick, athletic power forward, but as far as I'm concerned the point guard position is our most pressing need.

Both positions are huge needs. I'd rather a point guard, but I think it would be easier to go out and find a PF that fits our system.

yeh we are LOADED in the backcourt. Loaded with crap. Rafer Alston is at best, a backup PG. John Lucas can't see anything infront him besides the defender and the rim. Spanoulis is unknown. We just need someone who knows to create plays for himself and the team besides tmac. Yes, we need a PF also but it's not going to have much impact on our team as someone who can create and make plays.

i don't think steve francis now is going to help us much if at all. maybe a few years ago, but not now. we seem like the oldest, least athletic team in the league and if anything i think we need some quickness at the point guard spot to create easier shots and also guard guys like Deron Williams, Steve Nash, Tony Parker, Chris Paul, Allen Iverson, etc.

We need a PG ho can free tracy up to get more st for himself nd score more. if we had that kind of a player in game 7, tracy wouldnt have had to juggle so much at the sametime and hes game would have been more fluid.

Well it is not like Francis is the slow...he was considered a quick pg on our team and with the magics...don't be fooled...his descent to obscurity is not so much diminished talents as it is a diminished role...this guy still loves basketball....look at Davis...same age with worse knee problems....we would be talking about him like we talk about Francis if not for his career revival year...Francis can have that with us....

    McGrady said a couple :p

    McGrady:
"...as long we can keep the core group."
"add ...athleticism ...at the four position more size on the perimeter ...we need a backup point guard ...we another guy create when i'm out of the ballgame"

Interviewer: "Is it on you?" Mac: "No! I lied" :D

    IMO the core:
    Alston Spanoulis
    McGrady Head
    Battier
    Hayes Novak
    Yao

    Alston Diener Spanoulis
    McGrady Head (Draft)
    Battier Udoka Korolev
    Hayes Ilyasova Novak
    Yao PJ Brown Juwan
