And this was not bad either: http://www.canmag.com/images/front/movies20072/music7.jpg Haley Bennett
I tried to explain to the movie to the baby sister who grew in the 90s. She was too young for MTV (gawd I fell old). But she did know what Duran Duran music videos looked liked. :s I told her that she would get the romantic comedy part and most of the 80s flashback part.
Bah, it should be a hit right now, hey Cure is still coming out with new stuff. I say if boy-bands can make a comeback so can new wave(and/or the more cheesy pop version/whatever the heck that 80's genre should be called).
I love this 80's flashback stuff. Does anybody here watch How I Met Your Mother? They had an episode where one of the female characters, Robin, has a secret about why she never wants to step foot in malls. Her boyfriend thinks maybe she was married and is trying to keep that from him(it made sense in the episode, peekvid it). Barney thinks she did p*rn and tries to track down a video. Turns out the video is something else completely. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iC9_wZHGLpA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iC9_wZHGLpA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> You can watch the full music vid here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mJAsgIIfNM
Speaking of pop....uber ownage! <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7Y_B3YbGztI"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7Y_B3YbGztI" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
I've heard good things about the show, and that clip was pretty funny. But I can't get over how stupid the premise is. The whole "How I met your mother" part when they haven't even met the mother yet. The show is spending all it's time on a relationship that we know isn't going to go anywhere. What's that all about? I have a feeling that the entire series is just setup and they'll meet the mother in the last episode or something.
He might meet her in this season's finale. In the most recent episode, he misses a flight to Chicago for a job interview and the episode is him working backwards trying to figure out who's fault it was. In the end, he misses the interview but says it's ok because if he got the job, the office in new york he would have been running gets shut down and he would have been transferred to Chicago and wouldn't meet his future wife. Then they show a wedding scene and he's starring at somebody off camera but from the looks of it, it's Marshall and Lily's wedding, so there's a chance he'll meet her this season.
Me and my g/f just saw this movie today. One of the cutest movies we've seen. WE are huge 80's fans and we can't stop listening to the soundtrack in my car. OF course Haley Bennett is pretty hot too. Looks better as a redhead though
