    You rock. Thanks!

Scola looks to be a perfect fit for a Rick Adelman, high post offense.

Nice post! Looks like he's got great fundamentals...should be the complementary player we've been looking for.

Because V-Span's game against the US was so indicative of his ability to play in the NBA :)

You must didn't see what argentina did to USA in 2004. Scola dunked on the USA badly and had a great overall game you should do more research on this guy.

He is a perfect fit for what adelman wants to do.You run the set he wants to run with two players who can pass and shoot from the high post position. In Sac he had Webber and Vlade so luis is an ideal fit with yao_Offensively they will a scary tandem and hopefully they can use what van gundy left to defensively still be able to defend.

The second highlight was a thing of beauty, the behind the back quick dribble and that wraparound pass was crazy good

thanks, batkins. aces on the video and stills.

also thanks for sorting out scola from that other dude on the team who is also tall with long hair.

    fav's:

@ 2:10 left in the video, scola shows some sweet fancy footwork.
---he won't "blow it" by losing the ball during an over-zealous attempt to do something he can't, because he can. but what's left to be determined is his ability to avoid getting stripped from weakside help in the NBA. Hopefully he won't have many "HULLO ROOKIE! WULCOME TO THE NBA" moments.

@ 45 sec left in the video, scola with a long mid-range jumper. drains it. nice arc. none of that clothesline stuff from howard. and dont get me wrong! juwan's clothesline jumper was the only thing in his repetoire that i welcomed. scola looks like he has that PLUS tons of pro inside scoring moves. i used to cringe and YELL at the tv when i saw juwan backing it up.

He's showing a great mix of grittiness and finesse. I like it.

kind of reminds me of Juwan Howard. :D

just kidding... He seemed to be getting his shots without even trying very hard. This is good cause you can tell he is going to be very good when it counts.

Scola looked great, and I am not questioning him, but I thik the McDonalds HS all americans, with a bit of coaching, could decimate Uruguay (no offense to Urugueno Rox fans...)

Thanks for posting this! One thing that I really like, in all of the videos I've seen of him, is that Luis really uses the backboard well. He knows how to bank shots from all angles. He'll be a really nice pickup for the Rockets!

thanks for the vid batkins. much appreciated.

scola looks pretty solid that behind the bank to wrap around pass was amazing and the other pass he made was really nice too. you cant really teach those type of passes and creativity, either you have it or you dont. like the form on his jumper, nice arc and touch.

he seems to be a lot stronger though than i originally have believed in some of his post moves underneath, but once again the uruguay team is a lot different than some of the players he'll face in the nba.

so far though he looks like a solid pickup for the rockets.
