I hate Kobe except for when he is playing for team USA or complimenting Hakeem Olajuwon.

it's a love/hate relationship for me, he is just so good, and although he can be an ass on the court the guy is a worker and i respect that, at the top and still trying to get better, it's impressive and beautiful to see

    Kobe asking Dream for advice?

Black Mamba is plotting to pry away the magic forces from the legendary master.

Kobe wanted to learn how to pivot better while in post position. Kobe had a few efficient moves while in post position (classic MJ fadeaway, fake-right drive to the hoop)

    Watch some Hakeem clips...

Hakeem always used his heels to roll past people while in post position. It provides a quick route right to the basket w/o having to face your opponent.
If you cant find a lane to the hoop- Create one.

If he masters this- good luck to Shane.

If Kobe learns Hakeem's moves and Lebron learns Shaq's moves. We could have a repeat of the 1994-1995 nba finals

you recall that Yao asked for Dream's help. It seemed that Dream's #1 advice to Yao wasn't his moves, it was the mentality of dominating the paint.

I did notice that last season, Yao was much tougher than his previous years in the paint.

For Kobe, he does have the quickness to execute Dream's moves.

Dream doesn't know anything that Kobe didn't already know how to do. Typically, when a guy getting up there in age (like Kobe is) starts trying to reinvent his game it means he is due for a big drop off in production. Kobe knows he is getting slower and older and he is trying to compensate. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kobe's numbers go down significantly over the next two seasons.

I have a huge amount of respect for him knowing he went to Dream to try to pick up a few new things but at his age he has mastered all the skills he can master. Don't expect Kobe to look anything but slower and older this season.

I don't know if Jordan's and Hakeem's moves can co-exist. but kudos to him for being a student of the game. He's still cocky.

Yao is a humble worker and modest towards the media. I reminisce the time when he averaged 27 and 9 during the 2006/07 campaign.

Drexler, Jordan, in their later years were pretty good post players, posting up other guards.

    Sure they could post up.
Kobe does what he does best. Pau's steady production will be the same. It remains to be seen what Odom and Ron brings to the table. I'll take the Celtics when healthy.

Love Kobe, I don't care that he's a Laker, I'll take this guy a million times over Tracy McGrady anyday of the week, always said that when that loser came here too.

Hoping to gain some insight into what Kobe Bryant learned working with former Rockets great Hakeem Olajuwon this summer? Sorry.

"I don't talk about my appointments with the master shogun. Those are sacred," he said with a smile at practice Wednesday afternoon. The Dream has said his moves are well suited for agile guard/forward types like 24. Whatever he learned, and my guess is it's a lot, Kobe will have ample opportunity to put his new moves to use. "I'm a post player anyway," he said. "As a guard. 80% of the time I'm in the post."

Asked why he sought Olajuwon out, his answer was simple. "To learn." Another potential response: "Because he was really *#()@*&$ good." Kudos to Bryant for keeping it clean. Anyhoo, look for some of this ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29WpgU0pqN8 ) once the season kicks off.
