Thanks Hilltopper, it is what he has been saying to everyone about it.

He is handling it very well, IMO.

I feel bad for the guy. He seems like a very good person more than his appearance would tell. His coaching style isn't the most exciting but it sure is great basketball. I believe defense still wins championships. The 4 remaining teams in the playoffs are proof of that. All of the high octane offense teams have already been eliminated. The Rockets front office did not handle the situation very good. JVG on the other hand seems to be handling it very well and he deserves better. I wish JVG all the best and I hope he gets to coach somewhere else. It would be such a waste not to see him coach again although I wouldn't mind him calling games for TNT.

I'm really going to miss seeing his post game commentary. I liked his dry humor. :( D wins championships, just like someone already said look at the remaining teams in the playoffs.

I agree D wins Championships but the look at the last four remaining teams, they all also have deep bench support and can score in either up tempo or half court sets.

Sounds like either JVG or Morey is lying, and I suspect it is our new GM. Big mistake firing JVG, and it will be sad if we improve the player personnel and the team gets better that there will be people that point to the results as proof that firing JVG was a good move.

that is exactly what's going to happen. i don't think we're as far off as other people do, and there's going to be some definite roster improvement over the summer. yao ming will get healed up and come back dominant again. if adelman is indeed the coach, he's certainly qualified to take a good team on a playoff run. i just think van gundy is even better.

I question JVG when he says that he let it be known all along that he would come back if they wanted him back. Was it really that simple or is it more to it? I think Les wanted JVG to be different, and JVG felt like "I am what I am" so if you want me back that means you are going to have to deal with it.

it's really hard not to like JVG. you may not like his style of play but you would be hard pressed not to like him as a person.

    D stand for Diversity
    D - ifferent Offensive Sets .. .
    D - iverse Adjustments

I don't Hate JVG but I am not big on his Offensive philosophy

JVG is a good coach for sure, but I am not sure if he deserves to come back after the failing to get into the 2nd seres.

I feel bad for the guy, but I don't feel bad that he's fired. It's a toss up, if he went into the 2nd round, you can bet your ass he would still be here next year.

But I do feel disgusted Les and the Rockets handled the firing so badly ... come on, JVG has been very cooperative, you just need to show some respect and give him some "face", then all will be okay.
