I'm gonna be making more videos of other Rockets later on.
In the video he compares himself to D. Wade athletically. Wade has special lateral explosiveness (eg. spin moves) that Taylor doesn't possess. Von Wafer was more athletic too. What JT has though is a knack for scoring which is more important than athleticism. I hope he improves on his weaknesses.
it's pretty obvious that he's athletically gifted, but there's something wrong with his shot. It seems to be different every time. That's usually the sign of a bad shooter. If he could improve that, I see no reason why he couldn't be a starter in this league, if not eventually an All-Star .
I can see a few reasons why he would never be a starter, much less an All-Star. Inadequate handles, iffy shooting, low bball IQ, bad defense.. etc
I was actually looking to release this video right after preseason ended, and hope he gets minutes with the team, but I didn't have the time, so I just released it now. It can serve as a video to look at his potential for the future though, and plus it's UGK!!!
