That one was a pretty obvious travel lol.

 

Harden's timing on the gather step is really astounding. The ball isn't gathered until the second hand is on the ball, which may have been after the first step.

I was sure he got away with a clear shuffle travel, but watching it frame for frame it looks borderline.

 

The only way to determine if it's a travel or not is to forget it's James Harden and then pretend it's Curry taking the shot to win the game vs the Rockets in the last second of game 7 to win or lose the series.

If you still think this is a clean shot then it probably is. Chances are you will think this shot is a travel though. Looks like a travel to me anyway.

But if KD can be sitting in the first row with the ball and not be called out of bounds then I can see how the refs would miss this too. Haha.

 

He was fouled on that shot.

He made a tough shot.

But he also traveled prior to the attempt and the foul.

It was a blatant travel to get behind the 3 point line before the release.

The ref missed the travel and the foul while standing right in front of the play....smh.

 

Lmao that's a travel, but offense and close games sell tickets and attract eyes so the NBA don't care.

 

Celtics fan can't complain with the heroic effort from the refs of trying to will them back into the game.

 

The hate on Harden has reached unprecedented levels... I follow houseofhighlights on Instagram and every single highlight from him is full of hate comments and people discrediting his accomphisments. I gave up understanding why, but it doesn't feel good. NBA reddit is pretty much the same.

I saw this highlight in another video on reddit, 99% of the comments were about how he traveled.

The confusion happens because it's harden to tell when he gathered the ball.

 

That was obviously a travel but, Celtics got most of the bad calls in the game (Brown in those possessions elbowed PJ and got two free points, that was an offensive foul...Harden at some point scored a floater while getting hit by a moving screen from Theis, that should've been basket and free throw so...yeah, 3 point swing), and it's not like we won with that shot anyway, Rockets have been up in double digits for all the game and were still up 8/10 there.
