Hopefully it'll do more than just play videos. Hell, there are products that have been out for months that already do that. Archos' can even record from tv - it's a DVR/PVR.

ipods are for trendy fgts. this is my belief. i had an ipod because it was given to me as a present and the software was most definitely not intuitive. having to run everything through itunes is more than a headache and still a bother when mastered. ipod video? id much rather get a 40gb handheld media player and have the ability to customize my folders and drag&drop.
I've owned 4 ipods, this will be my 5th... The fact that you think you have to use iTunes is silly. There are plenty of third party appications out there to use, including ones that make it a "drag/drop" device.
Well, I'm being a little bit overly critical of ipods but let me assure you, I know of all the third party programs you can use with Ipod. I used Red Chair's program, Anapod, and it was great. Bad thing was that you needed to pay 30 bucks to get the full verison. I'd much rather buy a product where third party programs arent even needed. I dont mean to insult ipod users, it's just that i was VERY disappointed in the Ipod. Apple could make MANY tweaks to the Ipod that would make it many times better.
Haven't you figured it out yet? They do make those tweaks... they call them new iPods and have people shell out another $200-$400 to buy the tweaks. Clearly you could never work for the Apple marketing department...
Woohoo, I just ordered an Nano yesterday! Edit: Woohoo, I got it cancelled. Anyways how big is this compared to the Nano? I want to use it for the gym. When is release date? Note to investors: Word is they are gonna use Broadcom chips in these puppies.
