We went to the 1820/Joystix place tonight. It only opens to Joystix every last friday, but for 10 bucks, you get free old school video games. We were playing: Gauntlet Joust Joust II Burger Time Every Pac man game invented Tron The Original Star Wars Video Game Off Road Outrun SF Rush And literally hunderds others. I can't possibly recall all of them, but let's just say their were well over 100 video games and 50 pinball games in there, all for free. You have to buy the drinks on the other area, but they can come in with you. It was awesome, at least to me. I'd actually like to do a clutchfan gathering here after a game at Live, if possible. I talked to the owner. I can almost guarantee he'd do it. Also. We talked about the possibility of doing video game tournaments there on old school games. You have to admit, it'd be fun to get $100 on dig dug, pole position, or Tron. What do y'all think?
I'd try very hard to make it. And I can hold my own when it comes to classic VG's. My favorite was Moon Patrol.
Fatty I would make a special trip out from BFE just for that. you set it up, I'll be there I might even fix your computer in time to bring it with me.
lawl OUTSTANDING Im ordering one right now. I already had to lay down the smackdown to someone close to me that was taking advantage of my generosity....they kept expecting me to make the 45 minute trip out to their place to fix the computer they kept screwing up by not taking my advice and protecting their computer. this time when they called me for the same thing I had fixed time and time again, AND expected me to come out and fix it. Problem is....I am EXTREMELY busy and do not have the time for a three hour serivice call for free...I told them I would fix it, but they had to bring it to me(at least FFB brings it to me) needless to say...I havent heard back from them. Dont get me wrong guys, I DO fix computer problems for much cheaper than anyone else you can find (ask FFB), but my free time is very limited and I need to be able to say I got at least a little money for doing things (keeps my business manager happy)
I'm going to set it up for May 25th. (unfortunately, my girls birthday is on March 30th, and my bro's in on April 27th. Unbelieveable.) 5 bucks a head, plus the ten to get in. We'll figure out a 5 game tourney. Winner gets the 5 dollar entry pot. I'll let y'all dictate what 5 games we should include, but there should be at least 1 pinball game. That's the tournet rules. Start suggesting games, and I'll let the owner know.
I didn't see it, but the owner said he'd look for stuff not mentioned, like I requested "Space Ace." I'd do a poll, but I'm going to let people keep nominating games for the next month, and the 5 will be chosen by the most requested. Then i'll get the guy to make sure they're there.
