Any Road Rash fans out there? There's going to be a new video game called Road Redemption: <iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/darkseasgames/road-redemption/widget/video.html" frameborder="0"> </iframe> http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/darkseasgames/road-redemption Pledge to make the game happen, get the game at a lower price, and maybe get some goodies. Please move or delete if this thread is against the rules.
FYI, there will likely be an actual Road Rash Kickstarter (with members from the original team) pretty soon (~30 days). I still backed this since it seemed interesting enough though. Some things rub me the wrong way (certainly not big on the guns), but I'd still like to see this made.
Backed it, thanks ! And RC, we had the rights to Road Rash until 2012 with EA, we were going to bring back, RR, Populus, and Wing Commander..but the deal fell through. DD
He said the 30 day thing here: http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comm..._petition_for_the_release_of_the_road/c9drcub But he gave his blessing to this game too: http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/1c7sjz/road_rash_spiritual_successor_early_gameplay/c9dvsyu 2 Road Rash style games are better than none.
Oh man, loved the Road Rash games. Probably played Road Rash 3 on Genesis and Road Rash Jailbreak on the PS the most.
Yea Road Rash on Sega was awesome. If I am remembering the right game, you would get off your bike, go beat some ass and the go back to your bike.
dear god, i loved this game so much. i remember beating people's ass with a bat hahaha seeeeeeeggggggaaaaaaaaa
Road Rash makes me miss the original Playstation. And that makes me think of the day I bought my Playstation and played Extreme Games for hours and hours. Good times....
I just recently re-purchased all 5 of the first games I bought with my original PS1 (just for sheer nostalgic grins), and that was one of them. They were: Tekken Battle Arena Toshinden Twisted Metal Extreme Games Warhawk The surprising thing is I still enjoy playing (almost) all of these. I feel like the original Tekken is the only one that didn't hold up reasonably well.
One of my fav's, along with SF Rush 2049. Vehicle battling has really fallen off the maps nowadays, with Mario Kart having any semblance to it at all.
Well, the Twisted Metal reboot is actually pretty good. I'm just not sure whether it completely captured the magic of the original. All the (really difficult) racing in the campaign was very off-putting. Since when is racing part of Twisted Metal? But other than that, pretty solid.
I used to play the original Road Rash on PC with my brother for HOURS. This looks like it could be bad ass!!!
