EA has the money to beat out the 2k series , but there philosophy is all wrong. They are more arcade oriented. While 2k is more sim like... Dream Scenario: EA just blatantly copies 2k in everything they do :grin: ...now that would be the best of both worlds!
I wish 2K generated some more money... the servers on EA and the quality of EA online is far better than 2k... I love 2K and have been a fan of their series from the start, but they really have to do something about updating rosters/stats better and having more reliable servers.
Yep... EA has the funds to make an exceptional video game. If they decided to go all out simulation style . I will happily jump ship!
For the sake of competition to improve both products, it'd be nice to have NBA Elite actually match up to 2k. 2k's product has been lacking to say the least, for the past 2-3 years.
NBA 2k10 was a terrible game. The game freezes on me all the time and I lost my "My player" after I averaged 50 pts, 11 rbs, 10 assists, and 9 steals a game.
Yeah if you have your control settings to alternative A and just crossover or do the spin move to get to the paint and lay it in.
No ranked lobbies Points in the Paint all day Too many automatic animations 2k8 was the best all around game. 2k9 was good. 2k10 took a step back.
I strongly disagree, but I mainly play offline... My setting make my games just PERFECT simulations... The computer IQ is wayyyyy better than years past when set up the right way... BTW, I strongly disliked 2K8, compared to 2K7... I thought 2K8 was a step back... I think 2K10 is by far the best, although it needs to be tweaked the right way, and I don't have an online persective...
2K always makes the best NBA games so I will not be buying this game. But it is very interesting to see EA doing this, maybe they are getting killed by 2K in sales so they decided that change was needed
I play online alot .... in fact I ranked top 100 in 2k8 and that was my first year playing. 2k9 top 150 (the year they did away with ranked lobbies) 2k10 could care less
That would explain it... No sim what so ever online most of the time... I have a feeling that will be very difficult to accomplish. I want a LEGIT story mode for the player lock mode. Make it difficult, and make the level ups INTERESTING!!! My player mode is a good idea, but it was just terrible execution. I usually make my own "player" mode in Association with player lock on and some rookie like Jordan Hill... :grin:
