I was debating getting this game. Loved 1 and 2...enjoyed 3 but didn't care (or play) ODST and Reach. I wasn't planning on it but I read some reviews that are all pretty good, It seems to have been COD-fied with loadouts and care packages. Anyone get it?
Yea I'm curious how the multiplayer works as that would be 99% of my gametime on it. I've watched some videos and it seems interesting enough.
Im trading it in on the 11th. I love the game, very much like Halo 3, but..... They adopted they stupid 'everybody wins' ranking system where all you have to do to rank up is play games. Very annoying. I hate COD for doing that but at the same time, if I have to deal with a stupid ranking system I'd rather play COD. Also I played about 15 games today and they didnt count towards my career stats (was at 366 kills, 108 deaths all morning, then it reset me back 5 or so games I played last night) which really irked me. Turned my xbox off, back on, nothing happened. The game play itself is excellent, and if you are wanting to play the campaign co-op style, then by all means get it because it's a hell of a good time. However, the ranking system for me is a big turn off, and thus, on the 11th I will be trading it in for BO2.
singleplayer graphics are the best i've seen in a while considering how fluid the controls seem. Multiplayer took a while to get used to but it looks to be pretty fun once you get the hang of it. I play mostly big-team if anyone wants to play my GT is: mylilponyranger send Clutchfans somewhere in the message.
Getting it tonight after work. Also getting COD BO2. FYI Best Buy does 100% trade in bonus. My games were worth about $46 in trade in, they kicked another $46 of BONUS trade it credit. Got a gift card for $92. Just in case anyone trades games in anymore.
A little off topic, but I actually enjoyed the Halo 3: ODST campaign quite a bit. In fact, it was the only Halo campaign I actually enjoyed playing. I'm a huge fan of multiplayer, though.
Didn't play the game but looked through the cut scenes just for the story. Its a bit darker than the first three. Which I absolutely love. If the rest of the halos are like this, this is going to be a great new trilogy.
I'd say highly comparable to Halo 2, which, in my opinion, was the best Halo to date. Halo 4 has a truly epic campaign, arguably the best of the series. If I had to choose, I'd take 4's campaign over all the others. Also, the multiplayer is VERY fun (no surprise), and the weapon balancing has been great. Definitely feels like anybody can step in and enjoy it, as there is very little learning curve, but seasoned vets can also excel. I'd rate the game a 9.5/10. It's truly awesome.
playing campaign on LEGENDARY right now and even though I've only played 30-40 mins, still havent gotten past chapter 1. I am losing my edge on shooting games I guess.
