Props go out to digg.com for this find: http://gameads.gamepressure.com/tv_games_commercials.asp This site has virtually every video game commercial ever made, including some from Japan, Europe, and other places. I just like checking out some of the older games for nostalgia, as well as watching some of the Japanese commercials (the FFIV commercial seems hilarious to me). Just another one of those sites that you can waste your time on.
Man, the FFVII Advent Children Commercial is sick...I just sent it to my girlfriend and no doubt she's gonna be drooling over it. Thanks RC!
Where's that old Atari commerical with the jingle that goes something like: Under 50 bucks? 50 bucks! Now isn't that nice! The fun is back, oh yesiree It's the 2600 from Atari!
Dude, Megamania was such a better commercial. Or the Late, great, Phil Hartman getting agro on Activision Hockey. Or Mariooooo where are youuuuu? The ad for the first Mario game, Mario Bros.
I always liked the Red Faction 2 commercial, because it has the Jefferson Airplane song "White Rabbit" as the soundtrack.
That commercial is awesome. The bad thing is that I recently read that the movie (NA version anyways) got pushed back from the Sept 13 simultaneous release date and now probably won't make it until around November. I guess I shouldn't feel too bad since it has been delayed so many times, not to mention I've practically seen the whole movie with all the previews. I still hate these delays from Square-Enix though. I should have been watching the movie and playing FFXII like a year ago. Oh well, better late than never. I forgot about that Juiced ad, although I thought it was just a viral marketing ad that was from the internet. I didn't think it was actually aired anywhere. Juiced had some weird ads, that's for sure. Some of those Sega Saturn commercials were pretty interesting. I never realized how much they dissed the competition back then (or do they still do that today, and I just don't notice it?). Too bad the commercials didn't help out the Saturn much. I had one of those before it started dying off, practically forcing me to get a PS1 (along with the FF games). Seeing games like Knights, Virtual-on, Panzer Dragoon, Virtual Fighter, etc., brings back a lot of memories.
