At least he realized immediately after that this was wrong. Nick Young didn't seem like he accepted the apology.

Thoughts? I know this is an unwritten rule of basketball, but is it really that big of a deal?

Personally, i think all is fair until the final buzzer. You don't want to get shown up? Play defense.

You really don't care about sportsmanship? The game was already well in-hand. There's no reason to pad your stats - it just makes you look like a dick.

But I forgive Evan Turner, because screw LA. Being in LA definitely had something to do with it.

I loved the fans reaction. That was amazing. Evan Turner just became my favorite stat stuffing scrub in the league.

Would be pissed if they were doing it to us.
Couldn't care less if LA gets humiliated.

I saw this live and thought Turner knew exactly what he was doing.

In this particular case, there's nothing wrong with it. It was a 5 point game, not 20. Both teams are still focused. It's easy to get caught up and keep playing for another play or two.

It's a timed game. They should keep playing until time runs out. Otherwise, why not just stop the game when we think it's over? Just keep playing. Nothing good comes from taking it easy on opponents at that point. Use the time as experience for bench players and to give fans 48 mins of basketball. That's what they paid for and came to see.

I think he got caught up in the moment, maybe thought the game was over & just wanted to get in a dunk before going home. He realized right away & apologized, I have no problem with this.

I do have a problem with Nick Young acting like a little b****.

Doesn't bother me. I actually prefer players to do something dramatic like this at the end of a game. I always think to myself, "why not!?"

I'm sure fantasy owners would appreciate this.

Nick Young was probably more p!$$ed at letting that game slip away. The Lakers were keeping it close, even after losing Xavier Henry early in the game.

If the Lakers still went for that final shot when the game was already over why can't Turner?

People care what the black hole Nick Young thinks really?

What a bunch of children. Don't think for a second the lakers players wouldnt try to show you up in LA with their antics and hollering and playing to the celebs in the crowd if they had the chance.

I was at the game! And to be honest, that dunk was the best part of it.
