I know he's mad young, but he looks so lost out there. Send him back to the D-league where he belongs. He has another 2 years to blossom.

Is he 18? He is listed as 20 on ESPN.

I think Morey might have reached big time this year. He needs to be stashed for 3-4 years before he is ready.

He can be a contributor in 1-2 years. Right now he's doing too much. Once he learns his role as a rim protector and rebounder, he'll make a lot less mistakes and can be useful. Offensively though, he will need a couple years to peak. He's going to need a lot of time with Dream and some gym time too.

Anyone else notice he moves a lot like Deke?

That's what I'm saying, people compare him to Ibaka but I don't see it I just picture Deke in my head when I see this kid play

Thanks batkins! I was really curious how capela did as i missed the game. Looks like he had a lot of good ideas, just that it was executed well. I have high hopes for this guy!

Yeah, he's not as fluid as Ibaka. He's kind of clunky, but effective. Definitely the kind of guy who's going to elbow his own teammates from time to time.

Maybe we can bring Deke in for some tutoring.

Obviously he has all the physical tools - he's long and agile with long arms. I wonder what is his wingspan. What he cannot do with power he will make up for with speed and quickness.
The question is his IQ - that will set him apart from Thabeet, for example. And his willingness to get his hands dirty, do all the little things. Usually guys this young and big have a poor motor. As Motie has shown - Defense can be taught.

I'm actually impressed with what little I saw.

    He runs the floor.

    He is athletic.

    He sets screens.

    He can block shots.

    and

    He's only young.

You could see that the mistakes were just nerves, and playing with these teammates for basically the first timeā€¦Don't forget he was playing against the Grizzlies & not the T-Wolves.
