I have a miniDV camera and I would like to put my videos on my PC. I've tried Windows Movie Maker 2 and it works well but it only encodes in a proprietary microsoft format. I would like to encode in AVI but I haven't been able to find a software that would do so and also keep the file size small. Could someone point me in the right direction?
Dr Divx is your answer....encodes directly from DV, file, or analog capture device directly to Divx5 http://www.divx.com/divx/drdivx/
I have a canon digital camera where I can tape little clips of things and on my computer, there's this program where I can make videos of things [putting clips together, etc]. I think it came along with the CD my brother installed onto the comp but you can check it out. It's called VideoImpression 1.7 and there's a website.. www.arcsoft.com Hope it has what you need
