http://www.dallasnews.com/video/dallasnews/hp/index.html?nvid=196646&shu=1 Video edited by The Dallas Morning News: Texas Tech basketball coach Bob Knight and hunting companions were confronted by a Lubbock resident during a dove hunt in October. The resident claimed that Knight hit his home with birdshot pellets early one morning.
Well... not surprised, "celeb" or otherwise.. my mother-in-laws house was within yards, maybe feet, of some dove hunters this past fall as well. She had to get the sheriff out. Texas law, however, allows for such.
Why is this news? ESPN is playing it over and over and, if anything, it paints Bobby Knight in a good manner. He was doing something well within his rights and some guy comes up to him in an assholish manner with a video camera and tries to confront him. Bobby Knight was pretty calm considering the attitude of the other guy.
Exactly. There are people at my office talking about this right now. It’s starting to annoy me. What jackoff comes to confront someone and brings a video camera? That dumb redneck was clearly trying to provoke Knight. He knows his history. Right now, he’s probably trying to figure out how he can make money on all of this. Maybe he’ll write a book about it.
I despise Bob Knight as much as anyone, but this situation is an obvious set-up to get him in trouble. He didn't do anything wrong and should be exonerated.
seems like whether or not the homeowner was a jerk at first the hunters should have moved when asked especially when the guy says he heard the shot hit his house. knight was being a total jerk about it
Was the guy taping it the same guy that got hit with some bird shot in the neck and back? And the day before, he shot a woman in the foot. I mean, it didn't hurt them, or even break the skin, but i still don't want freaking lead pellets raining down on me or my house.
