i always get a little nervous when i take my ride into a place im unfamiliar with. Especially since i've been in houston. SO much easier in west texas when you personally knew the guy, and his family, working on your car. what a piece of work that regional manager was..scumbag.
That is so messed up. This is why I try to do most of my car work myself. It is also cheaper than way...
Haha, that district manager claimed some customers car as his. Anyhow, this is from last year, any reason why you're posting it now?
i dont know how to do a lot of car work but i can at least change my filters, belts, brake pads and stuff like that. that just sucks though. as much as it costs to survive out there you have people ripping you off and degrading the quaility of your car.
lol I learned my lesson with Jiffy Lube like 5-6 years ago, they are just f'in horrible and shady all around speaking of which, where you people in Houston recommend a quality place to get an oil-change? I only moved back here like last year, I have been in Austin the past 10+ years or so
I get mine done at the dealership. People always scoff at this, but it's really not that much more expensive and no one knows more about your car than the dealership you bought it from (unless it's an American car). I get my first 4 oil changes free when I bought my car and they even wash and detail it (inside and out) for free. The whole thing never takes more than a half hour.
I made the mistake of letting Jiffy Lube change my windshield wipers. Why? I dunno. They were easy as hell to change on my Camry back then. Rain started falling heavy, I turned the wipers one and one of them flew off. I haven't let Jiffy Lube do an oil change or change my wipers again.
The bad thing about places like Jiffy Lube are, their "mechanics" have no training whatsoever. Not that oil changes, brakes and wiper blades require any advanced training, but still .....you get what you pay for. And you are usually paying for some kid to change your oil who is straight out of high school who can barely function in life.
This is complete BS, but it's nieve to think it doesn't happen... I don't do the oil myself, but maybe I should...I go to Firestone but you can't see them...
On the other hand, they might have done it because that reporter looks like a douche. nah, jiffylube got owned. Good job liberal media.
I watched this video a year ago and it completely changed the way I do my oil changes. I would never go to a Jiffy Lube again. The alternatives are Walmart and Firestone. Do I trust them? No. But there haven't been caught on camera yet.
LOL. I don't understand why people go to places like Jiffy Lube that after a buck. Do it yourself or find a legit reputable place. I go to my dealership...I highly, highly doubt they pull stunts like this.
Anyone else think this guy looks like Peter North? More ironic similarity: He's doing an expose on Jiffy Lube.
I don't know if I should be ashamed/embarassed that I agree with you and that I know who Peter North is. As far as automotive work, I try do as much as I can on my Jeep and when I can't do it, I let the Jeep stealership take over.
