I'm not sure why we should be looking at this as a good thing. A 10 point game, nearly 5 minutes left, and he gets himself tossed because he can't control his emotions. Ugh .. this could be a long season.
In all honestly, after the first 2 or 3 games against Utah this year in the postseason, win or lose, I wouldve loved to see one of our players get tossed from getting fed up with Utah's BS. Unfortunately without Yao, we couldn't afford to play the Jazz with ANY of our players on our roster suspended for a game.
It is going to be so enjoyable and entertaining to see Ron Artest in a Rockets uniform when we play the Jazz. I just get this feeling that we are going to manhandle these guys. We put Dorsey out there too OMG!!!
i dont see this vid as something good. i hope he is physical with them without putting himself and the team in jeapordy
Ron Artest pulling Paul Pierce's pants down LMFAO! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FD796H08J7w&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FD796H08J7w&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Good move if the refs don't see it.
So, would you be applauding if he shows his "toughness" by getting tossed in the fourth quarter of a winnable game?
Why Not? It's not like the Rockets were a horrible team without Artest. If Ron get's thrown out of a game for playing passionate basketball then simply put in Battier/Scola and you still have a roster that won 22 straight games last year. Not to mention something like that can inspire other players to play better, you saw how the Kings players appreciated his effort.
What Douche nozzile Harpring was doing that entire freaking game against the Kings at Utah was way worse then what Artest was doing that game. That game proves the nba refs have no mind of their own and side with the fans virtually every single time. Unless they got some money on the game which is very likely.
Haha, as long as he's not doing crap like this every night and getting suspended for big globs at a time, I am perfectly ok with the kind of "spunk" and attitude he showed in that vid, man. I don't know what you're talking about. I can understand some of the concerns about his off-court history, but we could use some of this on-court insanity.
The Kings lost the game. Didn't work that time, I guess. Maybe if Artest chose to control his emotion and stick around to help his team on the court, things would have turned out differently.
He got tossed for giving to Utah what they get away with. So that vid jsut shows what is so evident. The amount of crap Utah gets away with on there home court.
You are missing the point, dude. Artest's attitude is a liability when he's the go-to guy like he was on the Kings, but it can be an asset when he's a spark, or a third option. I mean, the dude is gravy on this team. The Kings lost because they were an inferior team top to bottom. The Rockets have Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, Luis Scola, and then some. Artest getting tossed wouldn't be that big of a blow to our ability to win ANY game. I mean, I don't want him to get tossed, but we could benefit from that kind of attitude once in a while.
this isn't just some random sh#t. some of you are overlooking that he was sick of the jazz getting away with their bumping and flopping and subtle pushing and elbowing. it wasn't getting called, and he was pissed off. the jazz play dirty basketball, and he wasn't havin it. i like the fire, in this case. it shows he gives a damn.
agreed. I hate the Jazz, and would love to see Harpring get his due, but the first priority should be on the win.
