Some mornings I wake up, check out the box score to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers’ game and hope to see a big, fat “DNP” next to Andrew Goudelock’s name. And I don’t mean anything malicious about that. What I mean is that I hope he gets called back up to the NBA sometime soon.

Don’t get me wrong, as a fan of the Vipers, I want them to put out the best team possible, but lets be honest with ourselves here, Goudelock doesn’t belong in the D-League. I mean, he was given the nickname “Mini-Mamba” from the Black Mamba himself! If that doesn’t convince you, maybe his season averages of 20.3 points, 5.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game will. And if even that doesn’t convince you, maybe the whoopin’ he put on the Reno Bighorns Saturday night will.

I don't think it's very close. The only thing Goudelock is better at is shooting, which while very much a valuable skill, also happens to be of the easier things to improve upon.

Beverley is unlikely to ever be as good a shooter as Goudelock and Goudelock could be valuable on the right team, but IMO best case scenario he's Luther Head 2013.

I'll have to admit 11 assists is impressive. I didnt think I had seen him pass the ball 11 times all season.
