Anyone wants to relive that nail-biting 4Q of the hard-fought win over San Antonio Spurs? There are alots of great moments/incidents in this 4Q: The dunk from Tracy McGrady on a 3 versus 1 fast break The dunk of Carl Landry from a sweet bullet-like dime from Tracy The goal tending of Carl Landry who jumped extremely high to intercept Tim Duncan's shot The hustle and fighting spirit of Carl Landry (fought for an offensive rebound after he missed his free throw) Luis Scola taking a charge Tracy McGrady throwing his body to try to save a ball out of bound The offensive rebound and emphatic dunk of Yao Ming over Oberto and Duncan and And 1 and then the chest bump with Luis Scola The miss of Tim Duncan of his And 1 free throw and a complete open look jumper within 2 minutes of end of 4Q (I felt surprised that no one said he is not clutch and soft and everyone instead abused Big Yao ) Those consecutive free throw misses of Yao Ming and Rafer Alston towards the end of the game ENJOY !!! the 3 best plays were: 1) the tracy's pass to landry, that got the ENTIRE team and crowd doing. landry was doing a shaq-like gorilla dance haha 2) tracy going out of bounds when he's not fully healthy. that told me how HUGE this game was to him and this is the type of effort he's going to give from here on out. there's definitely a huge sense of urgency. 3) the yao's dunk. that was sweet. just speechless. yao should do that more often.
Thanks for the video but come on... Tim Duncan has 4 rings in 9 years. If hes not clutch, I don't know who is.
Pryuen, you don't have a link to the video of the quarters do you?...I missed the game. If not, I'll just wait for R2K. Thanks
Just watched portions again here at home. Got to see Duncan slide over and intentionally elbow Shane and knock him down. Right in front of the ref. No call. Maybe that is what makes the Spurs clutch. Plays like Big **** Bob knocking Steve Nash into the stands. Bowen karate kicking people. The 4th is a great demonstration of the cheating dirty play of the Spurs. Perhaps we should do more if we could be assured of getting the non-calls. Les, ready to open the piggy bank? Or we could remain the p*****s of the West.
I was soooo worried when we missed our FT. I thought we'll be punished surely for our mistakes but darn those rebounds made by some our players were gritty and pure hustles. But then I would conisder ourselves lucky as SAS did not try to fast break when we misses several times unlike the 76ers. We're not good at stopping fast break.
Amazing to think we only scored 3 points in the last 3 minutes. Offensive rebounding really saved our asses. Yao's dunk to put us up by 3 points was clutch, his two missed FTs wasn't. So it evens out in the end.
So being able to perform in the playoffs (23.8 ppg 12.5 rpg 3.5 apg 2.8 bpg 0.507fg%) and winning championships is not consider clutch? 3 finals NBA Finals MVP + 2 NBA MVP Oh yea... Duncan is not clutch hes just a scrub compare to Yao
I reviewed the play where Landry grab the offensive rebound from Duncan. Simply unbelievable, he is so quick, fast and athletic that he can grab it from behind Duncan and put it back in. I have rubbed my eyes a few times and wonder how the hell did he do that. Can't think of anyone, not even KG can grab an offensive rebound from an ex-MVP, Tim Duncan and put it back in without fouling. He should get specialist assistance such as Hakeem to become better defensively and become a better blocker and rebounder.
It's ridiculous to say Duncan isn't a clutch FT shooter (he did miss his share of clutch FTs in his career though if you have watched those games). And it's also r****ded for fools like you to say Yao is not a clutch FT shooter. Open your eyes and start reading the stats posted by durvasa in the other thread. Yao's career clutch FT shooting is almost 80% and he shot 94% in the 2006 season. If you don't watch the games, at least do some research next time before you make yourself look stupid here.
That Yao dunk was arguably the best play of they year for the Rockets. It came in a clutch moment, and against a terrific defensive team. He made the Spurs front-line look like children on that play.
great video! I'm still trying to get my voice back from Sat. nite, it was probably the loudest I've ever heard the TC outside of the playoffs
