I don't know of any immediate family of mine that was a veteran, but I'd like to thank all the veterans that fought/ are fighting for our country and protected/ are protecting us all while making sacrifices. Wish I had school off today...
I'm considered a Vet but I was only in for 8 months... I would have been on Submarines. Would have been cool......
Thanks to pretty much everybody in my family: Both of my grandfathers were in the military, both of my parents are "Army brats". Thanks to my grandmothers who dealt with so much uncertainty and stress in their lives and supported my grandfathers 110%. My cousin is in the Marines over in the Middle East right now. Many of my friends are also in the Army or the Air Force going through Basic and AIT. And I especially want to thank everybody who continues to enlist because freedom is NOT free. I think that a lot of the time we take it for granted, and it's nice to be reminded every once in a while.
