Teams that win it all are inevitably lead by their best player(s) but still, veteran leadership and clutch role players are key. For example, Miami does have another ring if Allen doesn't hit that 3-pointer at the end of game 6. Going through the list of free agent still out there, the only guy that jumped out at me was Rip Hamilton. I'm not saying he would necessarily be a good fit or has enough left in the tank, but he servers as a good example. (Mike Miller was recently waved as well but I don't think his knees have much left.) Who might the Rockets add who has already been a leader on a Championship team? How important is it to get a couple of guys who have been there done that?
i was really hoping for billups. rip has championship experience too obviously, but if he was called upon to play, i don't think he would fit since he can't hit the 3.
