Saw Queensryche there last year, we were in 202. not terrible seats by any means...205 is center directly facing the stage so I would imagine the view is better than we had. Im not that impressed with the place as a live music venue...much prefer the Woodlands or Summit.(oops...Compaq Center)(oops..what the hell is it now?)
I had seats in that section for a Deftones concert awhile back. Good view, but I couldn't stand not being downstairs and got a friend to help sneak me down.
The theatre isn't as big as that seating chart makes it out to be. Overall every seat in the venue is pretty good. 205 is prob. the better of the upper deck sections.
After sitting on a stool at one of the crappy tables I will never sit in the lower level again. I saw James Brown there a month ago and thought the seating sucked. It was uncomfortable and hard to see with people sitting on stool in the table in front of me. I saw Duran Duran there many years ago and sat in the upper deck...it was much better.
I have been to tons of concerts at the VZW theater but all of them were standing room only - thats the best way to see a concert in my opinion...get there early and stand up front
I also went to the deftones concert at Verizon. It really doesn't matter where you sit because the venue is pretty small so you'll get a good view from anywhere.
Thanks for the tips guys. I'm trying to decide if I want to see Guster there - has anyone seen Guster live?
I saw Lewis Black and was in like the 3rd row. That was sweet. But I also saw Jill Scott, which was awsome, and was in the upper deck on the right side. It was kinda cool because you feel like you are hanging right over the stage. But had we been much more to the side (there were probably another 30+ seats), the speakers and curtans would have obstructed the view. So upper deck on the side is good as long as you are set off the stage a good ways.
Agreed. If I would have known it was so small I would have bought upper deck tickets to Aussi Pink Floyd last November. The light show just wasn't that great from the fifth row in front of the stage. Way too close.
