Verizon taking direct shots at the iPhone with new ad campaign

While I think the Iphone is the best phone out there right now, AT&T freaking BLOWS.

Iphone > verizon phones still though.


Was the last commercial even aired by Verizon? Looked like it didnt have Verizon in the commercial anywhere.

 

i think its pretty funny actually cause its true, at the same time, wonder if these shoots down rumors of the iPhone going to Verizon......

pretty clever with their direction, especially pushing the Motorola Droid (Sholes) with Android, which looks sweet in itself



btw, i loved how AT&T countered with their ad in USA today after the VZW Maps commerical came out almost 2 weeks ago, they had "reasons" why AT&T is better than VZW and one of the reasons was "Can send/receive emails while on a phone call", really? thats a reason people go to AT&T??? All they had to do is show the iPhone in an ad, thats it, stupid AT&T marketing team.....

 

I'm on AT&T, but I can't stand all the hype over the iPhail.


Come on. Half... more than half of what it's popular for is the mp3 player, apps (both of which I have on my free phone) and a touch screen.

With Verizon's push for Android, it'll be good for Google, and as a G1 owner, I'm happy for them

 

I don't think the touch screen is why the iphone is so popular. The apps is what I always hear people raving about.

The Samsung Omnia II and HD are going to on Verizon, release date I think is Nov 1st.....both these phones are better than the iphone.

I don't understand where they get that 3g map from. If you go to vzw.com, they tell you they get the maps from http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer/ , but in the latter, I can't find their '3g' map.

Jailbreak takes care of a lot of these things ...

I like commercials like these though because maybe, just maybe, it will force Apple/AT&T to make some changes to they way they are doing business.

Without Jailbreak, I probably would hate the iPhone. With it, I love it.

 

Yup. A lot of people knock the iPhone because of AT&T but having it jailbroken and using it with T-Mobile is great for me. Sure, I can't get 3G service, but I do only pay 6 bucks a month for my data connection, so I can't really complain about that.
