There is a plethora of things that this team needs to address, most internally and one externally.... 1.) The lack of in-game adjustments is nonexistent! MDA needs to be held accountable for such poor management of the team! 2.) The lack of adjusting to the two different seasons within a season! Everyone knows that the playoffs get officiated differently! Trying to use fouls as part of your offense is a crapshoot at best! 3.) Not incorporating the “Best shot Possible” philosophy during the playoffs is asinine! If the defense gives you a clean shot at a two....TAKE IT!!! 4.) Hardens walk dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble till 5-6 seconds left on the shot clock not fun to watch and is very predictable! The defense has an eternity to set up! 5.) MDA’s refusal to play young players (aka fresh legs) is not a good strategy! He needs to take good HARD look at what Pop’s does with the Spurs! He gets everyone involved during the regular season to have them available during the playoffs!! He actually plays his bench during the playoffs!!!! 6.) You have spend money to make money!! Tillman’s mandate to get under the luxury tax was a major faux paus!! You know what you’re up against playing in the western conference, especially that behemoth in the Bay Area, you can’t be passive, you have to get as much arsenal as possible!! 7.) Finally, this is controversial.... We need to have the balls to call out the bad officiating that continuously hurts us during the playoffs! Some will say just play through it, I say you shouldn’t have to!! If the NBA really wants to put forth a good product, it begins with good officiating!!! The refs need to be held accountable!! The “We blew the call, sorry” is total BS!! Add more officials, use replay, fine the refs... I don’t care just call it fair!! I’m soooo disappointed in how this ended! This was clearly our best shot at a Championship in two decades! Sadly our Rockets Choked!! ....... ....... .......
1.How can we get the regular season Harden to show up in the postseason? 2.How do you improve the team with Paul's contract still on the books? 3. We seem to need more of a disciplinarian in our head coach because we play with no discipline. 4. If we're going to continue to run this offensive system can we please target a few 37% or higher 3 point shooters.
I think Harden is more than capable of leading the corps to a championship, but not with all the tangibles that I mentioned. As far as bringing another elite player (Butler) to the mix per other threads....Tileman has not shown any indication (talk is cheap) that he will sacrifice money for a championship! We will have to fix this internally...that takes a good amount of people taking a hard look at themselves and admitting that what they have been doing up to now has not worked!! It will take a small miracle to right this ship.... ....... ....... .......
