Ok, I'm back in vegas this weekend!

going to stay at the Red Rock Casino. I'll definetly hit the buffet and the Salt Lick BBQ (just to see if its just as good as the one in driftwood ;) )
I'll have a car, so I can drive to the strip or anywhere.

but i want some suggestions for other good places to eat. As long as its not like $100/person/meal, I can do it.

considering this would be money that the I would spend on the Rockets playoff tickets :)

Ok Clutchfans, suggest me some places for lunch/dinner!

For a mid-range buffet, I really enjoyed the one at Aladdin/Planet Hollywood. (PS--how ugly is the outside of that building now?!?)

Uhhhhh, damn, you just made me realize how many times I've eaten fast food in Vegas and not gone to many fancy places.

So what do you think of the RRC? Being part of the Station Casinos, it's really geared towards locals...but my wife and I thought it looked fabulous. Very clean look and tons of slots. The sports book is also designed nicely. The twenty foot Wheel Of Fortune penny slot setup by the movie theater is pretty cool too.

While in RRC...if you're interested in fish tacos, try Rubios. They have some of the best fish tacos anywhere.

Try Metro Pizza...it's roughly at Flamingo & Maryland Parkway...just east of The Strip.

Most of the buffets in Vegas are almost cookie cutter. I haven't gotten the chance to try it, but everyone says the Rio's seafood buffet is the best in town. Avoid the Bellagio's seafood buffet like the plague...definitely overrated, IMO.

My first thought was that I couldn't help you.......I'm a foodie, so most of my Vegas meals are not cheap.

Then I remembered some of my favorite spicy food restaurants are in Vegas, and they aren't too expensive

For Thai, Lotus of Siam or Thai Spice

    and for Indian, India Palace

All of them are slightly off the strip.

Believe it or not, Vegas actually has a China town area.....like most things in Vegas, it is somewhat contrived, but I'm telling ya.....there's good food there....and all through Vegas for that matter.

This may sound silly, especially being from Texas, but the Pink Taco at Hard Rock was some of the best mexican food I've had. Moderately priced, as well.

well, thats why i have a car. i wanted to stay at a brand new casino. also i would assume since i'm not local, they would compt me well, since im 'out of town' money.

have u been 2 the cherry nightclub?

what about the wynn buffet? i went to red8 at the wynn, pricey, but it was really good.

Chins has some of the best Chinese food...actually, some of the best food we've ever had anywhere.

Oh wait, they closed a few years ago.

Is it really the Salt Lick from Driftwood? And the Rubios from San Diego?

You heard right; it is Bobby Flay's place......though you're infinitely more likely to see him at the NYC location.

Good food, but an appy, entree, dessert, and a moderately priced bottle of wine (or a few cocktails each) for two will easily set you back a couple of bills after the tip.

Alladin's buffet is actually really good, definitely has the most variety out of all the buffets. While it is doesn't seem as nice as the Bellagio buffet or any of the nicer hotels (it actually has a really tacky neon sign pointing to the buffet :p ), but I thought it was the best buffet because it had all kinds of food and there wasn't a long line.

Supposedly, Rio has the best seafood buffet in Vegas, I haven't tried it but I've heard that from a couple of people.

Red rock casino? Never heard of it, assuming its not on the strip so I would just say any buffet...

I was just there a couple of weeks ago and honestly, we don't really eat out at nice rest., just somewhere in the hotel...We ate at Hooters, but you can do that anywhere and the girls aren't that hot...They're hotter in Dallas...

I like the Grand Lux Cafe in the Venetian...I know they have a Smith and Wolensky's for steak, but mostly, at 2 am, its McDonalds...

Never been to cherry...supposed to be one of the current hot spots (I guess since it's new).

Never eaten at the Wynn buffet. I'm sure 75% of all buffets are exactly the same...carving station, italian station, asian station, huge dessert station, ... There's not really been a buffet that I've felt like was the absolute best deal ever.

The Augstus Cafe @ Caesar's is good, too. Especially for a late night meal.
