OK I've never been, but I'm going on Thursday. We are staying at the Hard Rock, and are going to be there until Sunday.

(originally, it was going to be myself and two other guys, and it still might be, but we've got a lot of "I'm coming too!" by a lot of women)

Again, I've never been there. (And I am not going there for a piece of A, but wouldn't mind it if it came about)

First Q: If a girl from H-town who you know has a boyfriend, (only two weeks) that you know you can do eventually if you want, wants to go, and has totally let you know that she doesn't care what you do while you're there, do you mind if she goes? (She is getting her own hotel room, and asked us SEVERAL times if it was OK.) (The funny part is this girl is pretty hot)

Where are "THE" places to go?
(I'm not a gambler, but if I were, what should I play?)-and no slots!

Anyway, I'm as excited about going to Vegas as I was when I was 11 and was about to go to Astroworld!

Hoping for another "Alpine Sleigh Ride High"!:)

Just make sure to go to the Stratusphere and ride The Big Shot. If you ride it you'll never forget it for the rest of your life.

I'm not a big fan of the Hard Rock hotel...just not a good location in my opinion.

I always stay at the Rio Suites which some people say the same thing about. It's a great place though.

Anyway, just get down to the strip and walk around. When I rent a car I usually park in the Cesars Palace parking garage (free). From there you can go down to the casino and out to the Forum Shops, one of the nicest malls you will run across.

Do some sort of web search to find out what shows are playing. I've seen George Carlin, who was great, a few years ago. Last year I saw Seigfreid and Roy and thought it was horrible. A lot of people love Danny Gans who does impersonations. I think tickets for his show run around 100 bucks though.

If you play golf, Vegas has some of the best courses around. They can be costly although you can get better deals in the hotter months.

    Have a great time.

check out www.cheapovegas.com for the scoop on all the best stuff at the best prices.

Make sure you go into Ceasers, Bellagio, the Venetian, and Mandalay Bay.

Go downtown once just to see the old Vegas.

Buy a book on Craps and Blackjack TODAY and start reading. When you get there on Thursday (if it's still early in the day...if not, do it Friday first thing), find a casino that is offering lessons on blackjack and craps.....most all of them offer lessons. It sounds corny, but it will make the game more enjoyable. The books will help you avoid sucker bets and help you with strategy, and the classes will help you feel more comfortable at the table.

I like to gamble at Barbary Coast which is right in the middle of the strip....but it's much smaller and cheesier than some of the big name places.

For your age, The Hard Rock will be perfect. It's a much more youthfull hangout than most of the strip places.

If you have any money saved up at all, the shows are worth it. Especially the Cirque du Soleil shows.

Drink mass quantities, but avoid the tables when you're hammered.

Bars- One off the strip is The Beach. Very cool place! Studio 54 is nice.

But if it's your 1st time- Just go where you want. I've been there 5 times and find something new each time. Very awesome city, you'll love it!

if you like to gamble go thwe old part of downtown. Some casinos give you different table rles for Black Jack (Like letting you double down on any card, and letting you surrender as well). I love playing Black jack, not much into other games. I'm into playing a game I have soem control over so I can sit at a table for hours in a row.

If you aren't a gambler but want to give it a shot, play Black Jack at the smaller places on the strip where the minimum bets are less.

If you want to just enjoy the sights and perhaps see some celebrities, check out Bellagio.

The very first time you go to Vegas, it's awesome. The buildings are just magnificent.

However, by the 4th day, you just realize that inside those magnificent super-sized buildings, everything's the same.
It gets old fast unless you like to gamble.

And if someone in your group is (or becomes) an addicted gambler, you'll be eating at the In and Out Burger by the end of the trip.

That's funny, I'm leaving for Vegas on Thursday as well and staying at the Hard Rock. I'm organizing a bachelor party while out there. When I get back to the office, I'll post my analysis of the bar/club scene that I did for our group. Fatty -- I'm sure I'll we'll see each other at the pool or blackjack tables at some point in the trip.

Go to the night clubs. I wasn't a night club person until after Studio 54. Now I would go in a heartbeat. Good entertainment.

Play Blackjack. Do not play roulette. When you play use the rules and stick to them. And You will win. Slots are fun just to screw around with. You can win money at the 5 cent slots if you play all the lines. I took home $250 in less than an hour. But you can lose it just as fast. So cash out when you get ahead.

    Strips clubs are fun.

I stayed at MGM. Lot's of goo stuff going on in there. Visit all the hotels. You will be amazed.

The Dancing Waters at Bellagio is awesome. Again, you'll be suprised.

Just have a good time and forget about sleep.

oh yeah, when you get to the hotel ask them how much for an upgrade. They usually give you an upgrade for like 15$ or some ridiculous price. It's worked for a number of my friends and can make a big difference in your enjoyment.

    Been there 4 times.

    Best bars/clubs:

Rum Jungle - Mandalay (Met the hottest girl ever there)
Baby's - Hard Rock (Thursday's are cool - good crowd)
RA - Luxor (always have awesome DJ's spinning)
Drais - Barbary Coast (great after hours joint)
Ghost Bar - Palms (sweet view and even sweeter looking hotties)

The best piece of advice I can give you:

WHATEVER HAPPENS IN VEGAS - STAYS IN VEGAS!

Check out the forums here... Also, try the champagne brunch at the Bellagio... Absolutely my favorite buffet there.
