Anyone else heard him on NBATV?

Vecsey says the Rockets would like to add a PG and maybe a big, but they are doing it quietly.

I guess Morey is contemplating a deadline deal other than just a simple Snyder salary dump.

I wouldn't be surprised if DM is trying. Vecsey is just stating our obvious needs otherwise he would be trumpeting some BS rumor.

If its Heinrich, S. Parker, or Atkins I will be upset. A big can wait til the offseason.

since hes from NY, i would suggest we trade for Jamal Crawford. he can be our PG (had success as a PG playing controlled offense under Larry Brown), 3-point shooter, 3rd scoring option, and 4th Q clutch performer.

I don't mind Atkins, but do we need another injury-prone body on this team?

The other two names just makke me cringe! Hell no to Smush Parker! He left and the Lakers got better. We went to the Heat and look what happened to them! No to Smush!

The Rockets are very happy with their PFs. Maybe another backup center to deal with Gasol/Bynum and Shaq would help. Obviously, the big thing they're after is a PG. More than that, they probably just want to dump some salary.

    S. Parker as in Smush Parker? No way Morey goes after him. He's smarter than that.

problem is most of our tradeable assets have either too small of contracts to get a talented but large contract player, rookies that we are hesitant to trade, or players that other teams don't want (Mike James)

we have expiring contracts, but all of them are small contracts compared to the players we are aiming for.

What? Getting Kirk Hinrich would be a HUGE coup for Daryl Morey.

I agree ... Hinrich would be a great fit for us. He's expensive, though.

Wonder why you don't like Heinrich, he's just has a bad season now. Whom is better you think? Heinrich or Rafer?

Wouldn't Deke match up with those guys better than anyone we could pick up?

Hinrich has played a lot better lately before his injury. He would be a great fit on the Rockets where he would be the third option.

Hinrich has a worse shooting percentage from behind the three than Rafer does.

    KH - 0.320
    RA - 0.331

Rafer because he has been in the offense, Heinrich would take time to acclimate and his talent level isn't high enough to hide the growing pains. I am tired of low % PGs. I know you guys like him.

That's a big time buy low situation, frankly. Hinrich is a great 3 point shooter for his career and can burn anyone for 25-30 points if you don't pay attention to him. Unfortunately I don't think John Paxson is stupid enough to be swindled out of an asset like Hinrich....

Put him into Adelman's system and he's going to improve. In addition, a big point guard like him is perfect for complementing Brooks or Head on defense.

Anyway, it's pointless to argue. I mean, the Bulls hesitated on Gasol and Kobe already in order to keep their Gordon/Deng/Hinrich core. They're not going to trade him now for some Rockets scrubs.
