If he goes top 10, who do you think will fall, and who woul draft him? I could see Chandler and Diop falling out of the top 10, Rad-man would be picked by Detriot or Boston.(Cleveland?)

I think RadMan will be a bust. I'm calling it now. Mark my words. This opinion isn't based on my lack of knowledge of his game or anything, but more on the words of those two european guys posting on the "OH MY GOD GASOL" thread in this forum. Now it is definitely possible that this guy turns out to be a stud, but that McArron dude had an interesting statement on how there are several players like RadMan in those leagues while Gasol is the special one of the two. And don't say well all the teams and coaches love him as the only reason why he is definitely a stud, because all of them have been totally wrong several times before. I think the fact that they haven't (though I'm not sure about this) scouted his games could hinder a team's objective evaluation of RadMan, whereas Gasol's games were supposedly attended. "Turckan" is an easy thing to say, and probably a weak argument, but I'll say it anyways.

There's like 20 guys who are a lock for top-10. To think, we're going to get a top-10 guy at #13. Pretty sweet.

Also, this is Vescey saying it, so I think we can safely say he'll fall into the second round.

I completely agree with you Kim. Even though the talent level is almost equal between the 2, Gasol possess special attributes which make him a special player, the ones Rudy T constantly covets.
The Rockets better pursue Gasol instead of Radmanovic.

Ok...just curious, but what's to keep these Euro's from just saying "F" my Euro contract, I'm going to the NBA? I mean, current NBA players say "F" their contract all the time, or "I'm not going to that team, even if you trade me". And what happens...they get their way. Contracts mean nothing in the NBA...if they player or team doesn't like them.

The NBA has an agreement with Fiba (and vice versa) that says they won't sign guys under contract with them.

So when is Charles going to give Vecsey the beat down for calling him 'Charlatan Barkley' every week?

If Radmanovic is definately not going to be able to play next year why would anybody draft him that high? This might be a way for the Rockets to keep all three picks this year. If they draft him and he doesn't play next year we won't have to pay him money. Then next year he can come play with us.

Mmanal, I don't think it's going to scare away teams either, but in the unlikely case that he doesn't come to the NBA this year and the Rockets draft him, does his contract count against the cap or does it only come into effect once he enters the league?

tpl, Im pretty sure it doesnt count on the cap until he plays in the NBA. The reason I think this is b/c Kirilenko was not on the Jazz payroll last yr according to RealGM.

This is not going to bring down more top 10 players to us!

There is a slim chance that Gasol will be picked in the top 6th, which means that he will probably withdrawal his name on June 20th. So if Rad is in the top ten, it will just even things out.

Now, if the 20th comes and Gasol has not withdrawn his name, then we will definately look pretty on draft night.

This Radmanovic not being able to play next yr sounds like a complete ploy to make him fall to 13th. I am working on getting some more confirmation, but I have read in two places that his buyout is only 300K. If this is the case, it will be no problem for Radman to play in the NBA next yr.
