Courtesy Hard Radio. Pamela Anderson will reportedly marry rocker TOMMY LEE this week - for the third time. The pair tied the knot on a beach just days after they met in 1995. They remarried shortly after, wearing space suits - and went on to have two sons together, but divorced in 1998. Anderson has since been linked to a number of suitors - she got engaged to KID ROCK and was recently linked to actor Stephen Dorff. But she has reportedly fallen for Lee again and he proposed on July 16th in Las Vegas, claims PageSix.com - with Anderson telling friends the wedding would take place "this week". A source says, "He got her a black diamond with two gray diamonds on the side. After she said yes, they flew on the Palm's private jet back to L.A. - but they crossed out the 'l' on the side of the jet so it said 'Pam's'." However, MSNBC today reports: "I'm already committed to two other men," Anderson told a friend when denying the rumored marriage. "My kids." "It's been frustrating for Pam because even many of her friends are calling to congratulate her, only to learn there will be no wedding bells," a close buddy of Anderson's tells The Scoop. "She and Tommy get together regularly with their kids and as a result there is speculation about them getting re-hitched." A music festival in Surrey England is claiming to have set a new world record for the biggest ever "AIR GUITAR ENSEMBLE". More than 4,000 people by the main stage at Guilfest 2005, in Guildford, played air guitar to 'Sweet Child O' Mine' by GUNS N' ROSES on Sunday. Festival organisers said they were waiting for confirmation from the Guinness Book of Records. The previous unofficial record was set in Finland by 3,500 people, but it was not witnessed by accredited officials. The crowd were led in their rendition of 'Sweet Child O' Mine' by former UK air guitar champions, Farmer John and Triple Slash. Ben Welch from TRIPLE SLASH, who goes by the stage name of Slash 2, joked "The crowd were sexy and we feel this record attempt was a landmark for western civilization." Guilfest organizer Tony Scott said: "We are thrilled to have broken the world record. "This has always been a special festival... and obviously this year we have struck a new chord." Even as his second feature film, The Devil's Rejects, is due to open Friday (July 22) in U.S. theaters, ROB ZOMBIE is thrilling fans with a summer return to his music career. The hard rock artist-turned-filmmaker has a second-stage slot on the Ozzfest 2005 tour, which kicked off last week in Boston. "Really, the movie was done and this just was something to get away," Zombie tells Billboard.com. "Had Ozzfest come up a couple of weeks earlier, I wouldn't have been able to do it because I would have been still working on the film. But now, my summer is wide open so rather than just sit around and do nothing, I thought it would be just basically fun." Zombie doesn't discount the promotional benefits of touring with Ozzfest at the same time his latest horror film is in theaters. "Oh yeah, of course," he says. "It provides me with a really great outlet that most people wouldn't have. There is in a sense I think the fans of Ozzfest are definitely the same people who would go to see a horror movie." (Billboard) DAVID LEE ROTH was on air for Howard Stern early this week, replacing the King Of All Media - or was he? An easily recognizable hoax to most industry insiders managed to dupe listeners, television outlet KYW-TV/Philadelphia and even one radio industry trade magazine into thinking that the rumor of DLR replacing Stern had come to fruition this morning. The fake David Lee Roth was actually an impersonation by Billy Mira. Once the hoax was revealed on-air, Stern said, "I heard the news that David Lee Roth was taking over the show when I was on vacation. I thought it would be fun to imagine what that would be like." (fmqb.com) VELVET REVOLVER frontman SCOTT WEILAND is celebrating after a California judge dismissed a drug possession charge against him because the rocker successfully completed the required stint in a rehabilitation centre. The 37-year-old was initially sentenced to three years' probation - including rehab treatment, Alcoholics Anonymous attendance and random drug testing - following a fourth drug-related arrest in May 2003, when he was caught driving in Burbank, California, with heroin and cocaine in his car. Former LED ZEPPELIN frontman ROBERT PLANT and his band, STRANGE SENSATION, will be the musical guest on this Friday's episode of The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
What an idiot. I love the Pilots, I love Weiland's voice, but the man himself either needs a reality check or the heroin addiction needs to hurry up and finish what it started. Awesome. I really dig the new single, "Shine it Around"
When did he form this band? Have they made any records? I went to allmusic and they didnt have anything.
Freak probably knows better than I do, but I beleive they've dropped two Albums to date, Dreamland in 2002 or thereabouts and then The Mighty Rearranger this year.
I heard the single from the new album a few times here in Austin on KLBJ and I must say I thought it was good. I'm surprised I haven't heard it months now because it really was his best stuff in many years.
It's ironic there are little tidbits about both Plant and Weiland in this article - they are my two favorite vocalists. Yeah, I'll always be mad and very dissapointed with him for destroying one of the best modern bands since 1990, but I would never wish something bad on him. I wanna think he's been clean for a while now, and that court case was simply just finishing up something from years ago. Get clean, Scott, you're the man.
Howard Stern said that Anderson called him and left two messages saying she was NOT marrying Tommy Lee, that he just visits his kids often, nothing more. Why does he need her anyway? He's a rocker...he can still pull women in their early 20's I'm sure.
Or younger ... see his reality show coming up soon where he went to school at Nebraska - he was in the marching band and everything.
So did anyone catch Plant last night? I didn't care for this performance as much as the one I saw when he did Shine It All on Conan, but I'm hoping it's cause it was out doors and the sound set up wasn't as good...
