http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117962405.html?categoryid=14&cs=1&p=0 A whole slew of shows getting canned. I didn't watch any of these except The Black Donnellys, which I really liked. I can't believed it's getting canned in favor of a show called "The Real Wedding Crashers." I can't blame the studio though, since people seem to love watching reality shows. Still, one of the better dramas out there getting canned for yet ANOTHER lame reality show is almost more than I can take. I wish I could boycott NBC, but I love The Office and Heroes too much. Here's to TBD finding a home somewhere else, so we can see Tommy Donnelly take over the city and the Donnellys evolve into a full-fledged organized gang...
Well, I liked Donnelly's, but I'm not too upset about any of the announcements. I'm happy that we no longer have to record Wedding Bells and Six Degrees.
What was Six Degrees about? Was it a drama? I don't think there has been any network drama I've been interested in since West Wing. In fact, I'm pretty sure West Wing was the only one I ever watched on any consistent basis. An hour (with commercials) is just not worth it. :\
I thought The Black Donnelly's was pretty good but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I'm still sad that Rome won't be back.
It was good. It was this show about six strangers to turn out to be more and more interconnected. It looked like it was going to get really interesting but I guess I'll never know since they're gonna axe it. It was a drama but it wasn't boring like most tv dramas these days. It also had a pretty decent cast. Bridget Monyhan (sp?) was in it.
I wish that "Love Monkey" was still on the air. That was a great show. I think they canned it after 3 or 4 episodes.
I thought Wedding Bells was damn funny. It's a good thing they are going with more reality TV series. If there's one thing we need, it's more of those.
WTF, seventh heaven was still on the air? How long has that show ran? It's amazing how such a mediocre show had such a long life. In the meantime, a show like fire fly gets cancelled. I hate TV execs.
damn, that sux. what is this? their 3rd season? i just got the first season and start watching this weekend. is the story concluding or are they just cancelling b/c of little interest?
DaDakota- just today in the Hollywood casting breakdowns they were calling for three roles for episode #21... just thought you would like to know and the black donnellys is holding on by a thread... NBC took it off the air "indefinitely" and is streaming new episodes on nbc.com and selling them on ITunes and what did they replace it with"The Real Wedding Crashers" go rockets
There were only two seasons and they are cancelling it because it was too expensive to produce. It will be missed.
