Calvin's a innocent and free man! So, next year, who should be sitting on be broadcasting the Rockets games?

    How about Both?

Already paying both of them.. so why not?

Van making fun of Calvin, who's making fun of Bill, who's laughing at Van's accent.. that would be fun stuff, man.

Not like it really hurts us financially, so why not?

Nothing against Van and his knowledge of the game.Far from it.But,Calvin is a Houston institution. So Despite/because the suits, the cookies, and his over the top antics,I'm glad he'll be sitting courtside with us.
...and lost in all that, sometimes,is a great basketball mind. When Murph settles in and talks hoops he's spot on.

Honestly at the beginning of the season I didn't think I'd ever get used to Van and his accent, but his knowledge of the game is far superior to others. He calls the play before it is run and calls it correctly more often than not. Calvin is just into self promotion with the outrageous outfits, etc. Don't get me wrong, I like Calvin, but he is hard to understand and seems to be more concerned with how many hot dogs he can eat on dollar hot dog night or how many pimp suits he can wear in a week.

Ding, ding, "Survey says... Air Bullard" :D

Calvin has done this for a long time. He used to always know the next play. As a fan who has only missed 3 games in 4 years, I think Calvin knew the team's tendancies and plays better than Van knows this years, but with that said.. he's doing an okay job for his first year.. look at Cooper... lol

My vote might be different if I never heard the phrase "At this particular time" again

I'm on the fence on this one. I realize what Calvin means to the city, but Van is awesome. He's smart about the game and is qwurky as hell.

Makes me laugh and keeps me informed. Him and Bill have good chemistry.

If Calvin comes back, that'll be fine too.

    I voted for Van.

I would like to see Calvin back next season, but Van has some good points as well once you get use to his southern accent. He has picked up most of the Rockets offense and seems to know all of the formations of the out of bounds plays. "Watch Tracey McGrady go through two picks and shoot the three ball." He's probably scouting out plays for the Comets....

    Three-man team. Use them all.

Actually, I'd like to see Van at halftime with Hagedorn, and Calvin with Bill on the court. Give Van the telestrator! Calvin and Bill could go to Van with the telestrator out of the station break, at time outs, and so on. Van could also break in on their earpiece. That'd make things informative and fun.

He said on 610 that he has made some notes about plays that he may use with the Comets.

As for the poll, Calvin not that I think Van is bad.

I'm surprised that Van has even recieved 15% of the vote and that there are people who will openly admit they prefer Van Chancellor. I miss Calvin. I want Calvin back.

Further, I don't think the loud suits have anything to do with self promotion. I think that's Calvin Murphy being Calvin Murphy. I suppose all the tattoos Allen Iverson has are just for self promotion as well? I don't know how to break this to you, pal, but some people are *gasps* unique! I know, I know. It's a difficult concept....

Ok, maybe I went over-board there, but it really annoys me when people catch "shxt" for varying some from the norm.

I'd love to see Van replace Coop at half-time. Hell, I'd love to see anybody replace Coop at half-time. Karl Malone! John Stockton! I don't care!

At the beginning of the season, I'd have said hands down Murph. But Van has been really good this season and I have to admit I still find the accusations against Murph a little troublesome, even though I realize I'm in no postition to judge him. Either would be fine with me at this point.

Van is okay, but he is not Calvin. I cannot wait to have Calvin back with Bill. He is so colorful, in his speech and dress.
