Actually, you could take the tape out (or any audio output) on your strereo receiver and connect it to an audio input of your VCR. Then set your VCR for the time of the program.
Any of you early birds will recall that Coach was on with John and Lance for over an hour last year after the season ended. He was laid back, cozy, and freaking hilarious. Coach wanted no distractions in his initial season. He has an extensive broadcasting background and is comfortable with a mic so we worked it out. The reasons for the sporadic timing is obvious--coach's schedule, established guests, etc... Here is a sneak of the next few weeks...these are scheduled so enjoy them. Someone called about Yao having to want the ball, he said you can't confuse Yao's personality with his desire to become the best he can and wants to learn. He explained the High pick/roll becuase other teams 5's have problems playing defense on that, but the raptors kept trapping the ball carrier and Yao has to go to the hoop better. He explained having the ideal complement at 4 to Yao and not surprising it didn't sound anything close to our guys. Plus they need someone who can penetrate. He gave himself an F so far. He said that we can't keep up with other teams speed and running so we need to be more alert and aggressive. He talked about the lack of defense and being a major factor. ************************************* I almost ripped my radio apart when JVG said the offense should focus more on quality shots. What fvkkking quality shots? That is exactly the reason why the entire team looked tentative because they were looking for "quality shots". **************************************
Can anyone elaborate on JVG's description of an ideal 4? Was it someone like Cato with a jumpshot? Kurt Thomas? What exactly?
Is it me or does JVG seem more laid back this year and displaying a personality during the season for once? I have also noticed that he doesn't TRASH his players like he did all of last season. He must of hated Steve and Cat alot b/c he bashed them in the media quite often.
Quite the contrary.. he constantly stood up for Steve and Cuttino in the media when all of us were bashing them. The only time he called out someone was Steve on SB weekend. JVG is known to be very loyal to his players
