    Oh boy.

Our fearless coach came to NYC today. He took a little jab at the Houston weather. (No biggie, EDC. Don't have a Jolly Green Giant on us). He said that after he got off the plane, he thought "Wow, you can breathe!" I guess he meant the humidity down there is unbearable. Especially for people from up here.

Personally, he is right. I was down there about a month ago and going out to eat, my shirt stuck on me like Patrick Ewings during a double overtime game against Hakeem. Now I know where I get my will power. I lived with that humidity and heat for 15 years! Kudos to me! :)

Anyway, he basically talked about the playoffs. And how it was to go through a game 7 with the Knicks. Thats the last series to go 7.

I can hear it now. The haters "He should go back to NYC!" Let the love fest begin!

As always, you need the awful Realplayer to listen.

I'm a Houstonian almost born and raised but when I was fifteen (about 13 years ago), I spent two weeks in Seattle and Alaska and one of my memories was returning home and stepping out of IC airport and the Houston air literally almost knocked me over, it is amazing how thick and heavy our air is down here and we don't even realize it. I feel ya' Coach.

I've been in Houston for over 16 years now. I have been wearing contacts for about 10 years and I can't wear them for over six hours without my eyes turning blood red. I just thought my eyes were weak or something.

About two weeks ago I just came from Alaska. Over there I could wear my contacts for over 24 hours and I didn't have any problems whatsoever. I guess it must be the ****ty ass air in Houston.

Well if the damn yankee doesn't like the air down here than he can just stay in New York.

I mean that's what this thread is about right? JVG glad to be home and you trying to call out edc?.............*Edit: This whole thread smells of bait.*

But I agree, humidity sucks and my yard could use some rain.

Hehe, too funny. Houston is a black hole. The housing prises are too cheap to move anywhere else so everyone is stuck here.

There is only one negative about Houston that I have never completely overcome: its weather.

I have been gone from Houston for several years, but I still live in a relatively humid climate. Houston, however, is unbearable, miserable, even cruel. I have no plans to return. I love to visit, but what city has worse weather? Many have better.

It's funny, I remember hearing someone from Houston talk about the weather once. He said, "if you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes and it'll change." Or was he from Chicago........Miami.......I don't know, I don't remember.

Just moved from Houston to San Diego. It's like I'm on vacation everyday. However, to be fair, it was sort of warm today -- maybe around 76, maybe 77.

That was a Will Rogers quote about Oklahoma as well. More apt since the weather up here is MUCH more prone to sudden changes (One day in April, you're getting a foot of snow, next day 90 degrees, day after that tornadoes...). Also, i can't bear coming back to Houston in the summer. I just refuse to do it. Call me a wuss or whatever, but I just can't fathom how you guys deal with that constant heat and humidity.

Yeah I hate the summers coz then I have to blast the AC. And coz I rarley use it during the winter I get sick and my allergies go through the roof. My sis is here visiting from sunny NoCal and she got sick. Anyone else get sick from using AC after a period on non use?

I doubt JVG was commenting on the weather in January, when it was 60 degrees here and there were blizzards in NYC :p

I dont miss the humidity. But let me say this.

I will take humid, 100 degree weather ANYDAY over a freakin blizzard that lasts 24 hours and dumps 18 inches of snow in 0 degree cold.

That being said, I have come to rely on the 4 seasons that I never had in Houston. I love seeing the leaves change colors and visiting New England during the whole Fall Season. Its my favorite time of the year.

    Bait EDC? Please.
