just catching the Lakers vs Mavs games and I noticed Van Exel shoots his FT's from about 2 ft behind the free thow line.... Has he always done this?

Yeah he's been doin this for awhile...and shoots like 80-85%. Imagine if he scooted in those few steps, he'd be hitting 90-95%

Naw if he scooted in it would probably drop. He's just more comfortable shooting it like a regular shot with his stroke ..sort of like those guys that can shoot mad 3's but stink at the line.

..btw the lakers are getting embarrassed :D

This would have to be the greatest collapse EVER. 27 points in one quarter? I don't think the Oilers would compare to that...

This is the greatest comeback that I have ever seen. Van Exel just nailed a 3. LA is down 2 with 1:04 left.

What a surprise... George gives Lafrentz a bearhug in the final minute, called a jump ball... there's the two point difference.

I give them props for making some excellent shots and getting back in the game. However, they only did enough to tie it... it was that little fix job at the end that gave them the two point edge to push them over the top.

Yeah...Dallas really won that game and the 01-02 championship.

The replay showed that they both had the ball.

One of his hands was CLEARLY on Lafrentz' arm. Even notorious Laker homer Tom Tolbert admitted as such.

I don't give a flying **** about my credibility, if you guys seriously think that wasn't a foul I could care less what you think.

LA came back from 30 down mate...any team who does that deserves a call or two along the way.

You whine conspiracy EVERY time they win.

If Dallas had some nuts the size of the LA chip on your shoulder, we wouldn't need to have this conversation. :D

I called conspiracy twice in about 100 games last year. If two percent of the times constitutes every time, then yes, I did. I could care less if they came from 50 down; you should have to play the game on a level playing field with everyone else.

I give the Lakers all the credit in the world; they made an incredible comeback with some great shots. They deserved to win the game. I'd just like to see them do it by an actual play to win it, not by mugging the other team and getting away with it.
