Because I can't think of any other reason why he is not on the floor. Someone please enlighten me on the positives Skip by me Lou brings to the table? No defense whatsoever. His man is always getting to the hoop. He cant shoot a lick! Yet he keeps shooting!!!!!! He is supposedly a good ball-handler, but as a team we turn it over like crazy. Some of that has to fall on the point guards shoulders. So why is V-Span not getting any playing time? He cant be any worse then Rafer.
V-Span needs to develop an outside shot. Rafer is total garbage, but he at least knocks down 3's in the 4th. (sometimes)
my biggest hate toward JVG is because he does not play SPan, Novak and Lucas enough it is really hard for me to see a 30 year old Rafer play 40 minutes. having a 5 from 20 night, making the dumbest decisions you will ever see in bball, and at the end slap/ass a referee here and there trading Rafer for James was the dumbest thing ever, even tho I hate Mike James because of his attitude, he would have saved us 5-7 games thus far Span is probably in JVG's dog house, now he has to suck his balls like Bonzi did, to get at least some playing time Fire JVG and send Rafer for free to any team in the NBA

Sadly yes. He makes Rafer look like Chuck Person, and he makes Steve Francis look like John Stockton. Hopefully he will improve, but for now....IC2k called it right.
rafer is good at one thing, making the opposition pg look like a All-Star..... man how good did tinsley look tonight, the guy never scores anything and with rafer on him he is getting open looks all over the floor...... yeah rafer makes the odd nice 3, and can pass into the post which we don't need right now, but we really need some D at the point.... it should be all Head and Kill Bill at the point.... I personally dont think so. The limited amount of time we have seen Vspan, I dont recall opposing pg's constantly driving by him. True, he cant shoot that well. But its not like Rafer is the second coming of Mark Price either. We are not winning with Rafer and its time to make a change.
A player who sored 22 and lead his team beat Team USA sucks. Were team USA full of suckers? The truth is that JVG has NO ability to utilize his player's talent. Tony parker is a poor perimeter shooter too. See how Spurs uses him.

I dont like Sammy's arrogant smart-arse and often self amusing posting style that much(no diss to Sammy, I am honest here, I am sure Sammy is a fine young man when you talk to him face to face ), but Sammy is not a Racist. Please forget what happened in the World Games. It's the 3 games/week NBA grind now. We are playing teams that watch film and game plan us. We aren't going to do anything they haven't seen and defended already. There are very few surprises in the NBA. Comparing V-Span to TP is just silly. TP is ten times quicker, is a wicked finisher and can stop and pop. He is a horrible 3 point shooter but he drills midrange jumpers (which he can get at will because of his quickness). They are two entirely different players. As far as utilizing players talents, JVG uses Yao, Tracy, Shane, Juwan, Deke, Luther, Chuck pretty well, as a 14-6 start indicated. The mileage he's gotten from Juwan so far is pretty amazing. V-Span played his way to the end of the bench.
