I went into this movie not expecting much...in all actualality, it was just for me and my gf to see a movie while we have some time together. From the previews, I admit to saying, "who is this zorro wanna be?"....I have never seen a zorro movie nor have I read/seen the comic this movie was based upon...

From the start of the movie, I was surprised as the movie entertains with a little bit of humor. The humor never really stops either as there are little quirks and responses throughout the movie that get you to go no more than "he he he" :) .

The rest of the movie has a little bit of everything. Stuff getting blown up, decent fight scenes, tiny bit of romance, inspiring events, nudity...yes I said nudity but unless you like dead bodies being buried then its nothing to look forward to.

Im really bad at describing things but believe me when I say I was wide-eyed  during the WHOLE movie. I know Im just once person really over joyed by what I saw, but its a whole lot better than some of the movies that have come out recently  ......I can name a few if youd like...

    Loved this movie.

If anyone follows my posts they'll see I'm usually pretty damn critical of most blockbuster-y stuff.

    but this one was awesome.

it was pretty good. got caught up in too many characters and too much character development. Other than that, pretty decent.

Hugo Weaving was pretty damn good also. His speech in the beginning is awesome.

This is a great movie. The Wachowski brothers have finally recovered from the downward spiral of the Matrix series.

This isn't your everyday superhero picture.

If you like the book "1984", you would love this movie.

And Natalie has grown into one fine woman...

    i absolutely loved it!

i was just thinking the other day how much i like movies where it's one wronged guy against a whole bunch of other people, like rambo, or neo in the matrix, and how i couldn't think of any that had recently come out and then V for Vendetta comes along and gives me exactly what i want.

and i also realize i'm a sap for movies about people doing things that are much bigger than themselves and how i love grand ideals coming to fruition, and V for Vendetta comes along and gives me exactly what i want.

on top of that, they play the end of the 1812 overture (which is possibly the best piece of music ever written, the end that is) twice at key moments and agent smith does a speech full of "v" words that had to be incredibly difficult to do.

i don't know where i'd rank it on my all-time favorite movies (maybe not even top 5), but i don't know how i could've liked it anymore. like basically everybody else in the thread, i highly recommend seeing it.

I was talking it over with my gf again and I said to her, "Im surprised no one stood up a clapped."

there have been enough times where I go see a movie and people start a trend of standing ovations. I sit there saying to myself WTF, why give a still life item on the wall a standing ovation...none of the creators of thie movie were there to get the praise.

that being said, I was absoulutely shocked, again, that no one did that for this. Maybe they were in aww like I was.......hell I almost started to clap. :D

sorry for rambling again...ehh I kinda enjoyed it ;)

the V speech is what I found fantastic. The one in the Tv station was kinda barely moving.

I loved it except for what happens at the end there.

    SPOILERS

I just think it was silly, all those people wearing V masks. Where did V make 50,000 masks? How did all of those people find matching capes and hats? I think they did that mostly to accentuate what Evey said to Finch about how V was everybody who had been wronged by the govt and they had that scene where people take off the masks and you see Evey's parents, Victoria, the gay dudes who were taken from their bed, etc.

    END SPOILERS

Hugo Weaving was awesome, but is anybody else curious to hear how James Purefoy, the first guy cast, sounded?
