OK you Houston cool kids....my blues band, the H-Town Jukes, will be playing the House of Blues restaurant stage this Friday night 2/27. We will start playing at approximately 9:30 PM, and we will play two sets that will last at least an hour each. No cover charge...just get a table if you want to eat or hang out at the bar or the lounge area in the back of the room if you don't. House of Blues is in downtown Houston at 1204 Caroline (cross street is Dallas). The restaurant is on the street level just outside the valet parking stand. Don't go to the showroom to pay a $30 cover..come see us for free! Hope to see y'all there!
RMTex, frankly I am SHOCKED that you would stoop so low as to advertise one of your band's gigs on this website. How dare you, sir. That being said..... If you can't make it to RMTex's show because you already have tickets to the Rodeo cookoff for that night.....well.....as long as you're there anyway......why don't you stop by The Bottomless Pit tent at about 7 or so. A really good band (with a solid but somewhat dorky looking drummer) will be playing there from 7 to 11.
Let me find out if the wife has any plans for us...if not, would love to listen to some good blues music Used to go to JJ's Blues Bar in Fort Worth every week in college
keep the plugs coming, one day i'll make it out to a show. i'll be watching scale the summit at warehouse live on fri.
Let's see, I've done 16 gigs already this year (1 with Ima's band) and only 1 has been public. I think the next public gig I have is in May. I'll have to remember to do a shameless plug then.
RMTex; As it happens I will be in Houston from Thurs. to Sat.. I'm still working out my schedule but will try to catch your show.
Well, I would've come if you'd stayed up at thr Rajin Cajun on Tuesday. Now I don't think I'll go..... KIDDING! I was never going to go.
Big thanks and mad props to RocketsJudoka for coming out last night. Thanks also for the brewski! It was great to see you again! Hope you had fun!
