Manning, Marshall and Starks are names but not shooters. For a team that is known for it's high percentage offense and career 50% shooters in Stockton and Malone (and last year Hornacek), they've added 3 of the worst shooters available. People actually think they are improved, but they lose their most experienced backup point to Dallas, their starting 2-guard to retirement and add 3 players with FG% far below the team's average from last year. Not to mention (altogether now class) "Stockton and Malone are a year older." And it's all coming to pass. Here's how the 3 are doing so far in the preseason: Marshall 8-26 .308 Manning 7-20 .350 Starks 7-18 .389 How about their new backup point? Vaughn 7-17 .412 Starks backup? Lewis 3-13 .231 I could go on... Russell 14-32 .438 Stevenson 9-21 .429 Polynice 9-22 .409 Davis 2-6 .333 ...but I won't. Nice offseason, guys. ------------------ "I'd like to be going down Fourth Avenue in a parade with all the graffiti coming down on our heads." -- Patrick Ewing, showing off that Georgetown edumacation.
