I don't know what I can say about this team. They nearly beat the Lakers on the road last night even when AK had a bad game.

Why cannot we duplicate Utah's offense? Imagine how good we can be if we run offense as efficient as Utah, and play our normal great D.

Yet the Rockets are winning and the offense is coming around. Give it time, the Rockets have a good offensive system, it's going to take time for everyone to get adjusted to it. Utah has the advantage of having some guys from last year's team and a the same coach. The Rockets will be fine.

It's going to take guys like Mo and Mobley to not jack up 20 foot jumpers in 1-on-1 situations. The Rockets have way too many 1-on-1 players to have an offense like the Jazz.

Beating the Lakers would be nice, but we do actually have a better record than Utah right now. Why would we want to copy someone lower in the standings than us?

Maybe because they have taken it to the Lakers more effectively than teams who are higher in the standings than you.

The primary reason is that their offense maximizes their players output while our offense does not. Based on talent alone, the Jazz was predicted to be the cellar dwellers of the entire league. Thus far, they have looked as though they can compete with anyone on any night. Lakers included. Although I dislike the Jazz, I must give credit to where credit is due.

God, enough of all the Utah-praising threads! This is getting ridiculous.

If they are still above .500 by the All Star Break, maybe there will be something to talk about. All I see is a team that the rest of the league has been overlooking.

The Jazz will be figured out, and destroyed.

So LA takes them lightly, big deal. Utah will never win a championship unless they acquire an unstoppable player, bottom line.

That's what I was thinking...THREE Utah praise threads on the first page. We're supposed to hate them, remember?

Thing is, though, that if it were almost any other team doing what Utah is doing(Taking a bunch of role players and just giving it their all), I would probably love them.

like the orlando magic before hill and mcgrady?
i agree. if it weren't the jazz i would love that team. but people this is a rockets board. the jazz are our lifetime rivals, so 3 threads about how good they are isn't normal

That's the exact team I had in mind when I was typing that.

That was a really weird team...Led in scoring by Darrell Armstrong, Ron Mercer, and John Amaechi( ). I love how Meech always talks about the good days back in Orlando, but the most rebounds he ever averaged was 3.3.

No kidding. I can't agree more, seeing all these threads praising the Jazz makes me want to puke.

If they are still playoff bound 3/4 of the season then 1 thread should be made for them.
