Texas up 32 to 21 in the 1st @ Pauly Pavilion. I figured DJ Augustine would improve after his great freshman year, but this guy might be the best point guard in the country right now. He's got TJ Ford's ball handling and speed but with a jump shot.

Great game for the Horns so far, UCLA can't solve the zone right now and Texas seems quicker to the ball and has had no trouble running their offensive sets. Will need to play just as well in the second half if they want to walk out of Pauley Pavilion with the win.

UCLA is making a game of it in the 2nd. 10-2 run to start the half. UT needs a little run here to give them some breathing room. DJ needs to take over.

If you're not watching this game, you're missing a great one.

55-53 UT with 4 min. to go. It's on FSSW.

When did Damion James get a jump shot. I remember cringing last season when he was left open. He's making UCLA pay for giving him space. 17 points on 8-16 shooting so far.

Huge win for Texas, gives a young team a lot of confidence as they finish up non-conference play and jump into Big XII play. Augustin and James are one of the top guard/big man duos in the nation. Texas should move into the top 5 next week.

    Hook 'em.

Damn I was at the game first row behind the basket right by the UCLA bench. man I was pissed the defense in the first half was really bad. Augustin was amazing as usual, I knew we had a run in the second half coming. Just upset that their center hit that 3. There was a UT guy behind us who said he hardly hits them. but great game overall though...I was the big indian guy in the blue ucla shirt if anyone saw. I was up and ready to go crazy when luc shot that 3 it looked like it was going in.

Its not a big deal this loss....as long as UCLA gets a top 2 seed in the west we'll be fine

Yeah it's huge non-conference matchups like these that are good for both teams. Texas notches a huge quality win on the road while UCLA will benefit from this game and from Texas continuing to play well, in terms of their RPI. I really hope that Texas gets seeded in the South Region and gets to play at Reliant Stadium should they make it into the Sweet Sixteen (I need to get my tickets now). Would be a huge home crowd for the Horns. Still lots of basketball to be played but definitely a huge win this early in the season for UT.

really? either way they played that pick and roll really bad which was weird since they did improve their PnR defense in the second half....

either way it was a great game to be at...its the loudest its been all year in pauley.

Should be out later today. I'm guessing they move up a spot or 2. UCLA is the only team ahead to have lost a game.
