That was close, but woud rather of us win by a close margin under pressure than a blow out.

Better not play like that against UConn.

Sigh of relief. It doesn't get easier, but at least it's in San Antonio. If the Alamodome isn't painted burnt orange something is wrong.

man that was nerve wracking. i hear in the next game, mouton may hit an actual outside shot, tj may learn to shoot also, and thomas may even hit a layup. man ivey was absolutely huge for us. all his shots were pure swishes too. we're lose by 25 if we do this stuff to uconn. i just wanted to get to SA and take our chances, at least we didn't blow that part of it.

How great was it to see Deg contribute? Erskin has had a rough year, due to injuries and the death of his mom, but he came up with 11 huge points today. It was also very new of UT to win a game at the line. 22 of 26 at the free throw stripe? Wow. It was ugly, it was nerve-wracking, it was a victory. Many teams that have advanced the furthest in the past have had to really gut out a tough game somewhere in the tourney. And with the next game, or two, being in San Antonio, maybe UT can build on this one. Please lord let Brandon find his jumper and confidence before the UConn game....

so many fouls called in this game...it was crappy officiating, i think. and it doesn't help the announcers kept getting mixed up b/w mouton and thomas. decent game, overall. GO UT

    no joke about the fouls.

i was just hoping it wouldn't come down to that miscalled three-pointer!

    THE GOOD
Erskin came through in a huge way today. I think he finished with like 14 points today. Our FT shooting was excellent. TJ was unstoppable in the 2nd half. There's not a better transition team in the nation than the Horns. Boddicker did a good job hitting some open 3s, playing defense, and picking up loose balls.

    THE BAD
Lackadaisical 1st half play. We saw it against UNC-A, and again today. Purdue was able to hang with us because we turned the ball over 9 times in the first half. Bad shot selection, and we didn't take care of the ball. Stupid fouls put Purdue on the line repeatedly.

    THE UGLY
I've cringed all season long watching Mouton shoot. He has a very ugly jumper, and it isn't fundamentally sound. Not to mention that he has very poor ballhandling skills. But he did a decent job on defense, which kept him on the floor today.

JT will have a tough assignment, but Klotz, Boddicker, and Buckman will all be called on to help out. Remember, this Conn team doesn't have a Caron Butler this year. It will be a battle for Texas from here on out though. I am enjoying MSU take out Florida though.

UConn is going down and I'll be wearin' burnt orange! Then we'll smoke Mich St in the Elite 8 game! If this game against Purdue was a 'bad' game for us, then look out tourney, we're going all the way.

My friend and I, both UT alums, will be there on Friday, raising hell. Hopefully, we'll have reason to do so again on Sunday. :)

    Wow!!!

    UT in San Antonio.

    Syracue in Albany.

That's home court advantage. Both teams SHOULD make the Final Four.
