I know that there is already a TJ ford thread about him leaving for the NBA. This brings up an issue that I've always thought possible, but never seems to happen. TJ is in a position that very few 'kids' are ever put into. He has a ton of national media attention with the hopes of many Longhorn fans hinging upon his decision. His buddy Roy Williams was in a similar position and opted to stay in school. The truth is that both of them are kids having the time of their lives. When Roy made the announcement that he was staying, he had a little fun with it by making the decision at first to appear towards going pro. I think this happened at the awards banquet or something where he kind of played with the crowd. Now, what if TJ is taking this a step further by sending all signs that he will go pro, just to hang around another year and have a blast in college. I know that I should put the crack pipe down, but for those college kids that seem to have the world in the palm of their hand, why not have a little fun with it. If I was TJ and I had decided to stay in school, I would like to at least have a little fun with it. .. Anyway, I didn't open a new thread to talk about TJ, since there is already one, but I am interested to know what some of you might do to have a little fun with the media and Horn's fans if you had the power. Would you be low key or have a little fun with it? I wonder if anybody knows any stories of other athletes, or performers that have played jokes on the people through the media. Just one big Punk'd for fans all over.

DrewP - Roy didn't do anything too dramatic. If I remember right it was something like ... I'm sorry to announce that .... pause ..... I'll be staying at the University of Texas for my senior year. He was just having fun with the decision. I don't actually think that TJ is going to stay, but it just shows the mean joke that he could play if he was planning on staying. At least Roy stayed.
