Yeah, but... uhhh... that doesn't mean the house is alone, is it? What if Mrs. SwoLy posts that, and she leaves... but I stay home with a shotgun waiting for peeps to "attempt" to rob? I see a potential virtual LAWSUIT coming up.
Except that people who are posting all that annoying crap are usually doing so to a group of their friends or family. It's the equivalent of leaving a message on your answering machine saying you'll be out for 3 hours. Sure, a random person could call and know you're not home, but they won't know where you live and probably got your number by accident. Mostly only those that know you will have your number and call you to see if you're home. What these people are doing is far more similar to putting an ad out, to borrow their comparison. Anyone who wants to see it can, which is far more dangerous than somehow randomly stumbling across someone's twitter.
what about you have a protected account, and only got family and very close friends? they not going to steal from you, or maybe they are going to the same place like school or something. If you are a seeing a random people twitter how do you know the person address?
